I normally pop into the Sainsburys further down the road after work but decided to check out the Co-Op for a change. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The range of products available is far greater than the Sainsburys store. The Co-Op is not as attractive inside as the Sainsburys store, however it makes up for this with the wide variety of foods, spices, alcoholic beverages, etc that is stocked.

Update - the store has now been refitted and the range of foods stocked has been drastically reduced. Everything now seems to be stored in cabinets which makes the store look tidy but not very inviting. I now no longer have a reason to go there since the variety of stock has been reduced so use the Sainsbury's down the road instead.

Open until late it is always nice to be be able to pop to the local store. Friendly helpful staff with well stocked shelves.

Usual good quality products from the co-op , however they are a little more pricey than other supermarkets - but their fruit and veg is always pristine......

A good selection of groceries, food and accessories. Often find the store is better stocked than the Sainsbury's down the road and new members system is good value.

I like the Co-op and feel some loyalty to them but I feel very angry today that in the midst of this deadly Global War that we are going through with Coronavirus, that this store is still not doing the basics in enforcing the law and protecting customer.
In the store this afternoon, despite having a security guy on the door, a customer in his 20’s/30’s pushing a child in a pushchair was allowed in and to enjoy a leisurely shop, without wearing a mask or adhering to social distancing guidelines. This is just not fair or tolerable to older people or vulnerable people in the community.
My partner and myself are both in our 60’s and have tried so hard over the last year to stay safe and avoid danger but when we venture out we find that our preferred local supermarket just cannot be bothered to enforce the law and take care of loyal customers in the manner that the Government recommends.
I spoke to Tia, the senior person on duty in the store to advise her of our disappointment and concern, to be told that it is Co-op policy to allow none mask wearers to shop if they wish. The law states otherwise and I would suggest that the Co-op get more serious about protecting their loyal, older customers, whilst they still have some prepared to shop there, with immediate effect too.
