Very nice place. We arrived after a bad day with some rental car issues and got nicely welcomed, placed in a sofa in front of an open fire and fed with great food. The boards are delicious. The room was cozy and everything looked neat and clean. Stuff was super friendly. Would always come back

I would rate 6 stars if I could. This is the place that I want to come back to and spend a few more nights.

The rooms were great, the bathrooms absolutely amazing. Big, modern, well lit and very clean. With a nespresso machine in each room which provided better coffee than most other hotels were able to serve at breakfast.

The staff is really friendly and the owners kept the bar open for quite a while in the evening when we came back from the whisky hotel next door and wanted to have a last drink before going to bed. They were really easy to chat with and made an effort for us to feel at home.

Stayed just one night on our way up to Wick and wish we had stayed a few days because this boutique guest house is gorgeous. The rooms and bathrooms are truly fabulous, and the public areas of the house are too. And In the morning we were treated to a superb Scottish breakfast complete with homemade granola, the wonderful aroma of which we could smell being toasted as we arrived the afternoon before. You approach the property via a private gravel driveway that rises up to the house set in an elevated position within its own grounds. The owners, Scott and Jodi, have done an amazing job creating a truly superb place to stay with the warmest of welcomes to match. It is worth the detour, particularly as the drive from Aviemore to Craigellachie is along a wonderful road with stunning scenery. Even if you are not heading this way for the fishing and whiskey tours, make it a special stop off on your journey to the Highlands, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Scott and Jodi for a fab stay, we will be back.

An absolutely great place to stay. Owners Scott and Jodie were absolutely lovely to deal with and talk to. Scott had great knowledge of the various whisky's to make recommendations for your taste. Food was great and other staff so friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great food and great place. Highlight was Ben at the Quaich Whiskey room. He knows exactly what you want before you know. #villahan

We stayed for a night at the Lodge. Scott and Jodi were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and full of natural sunlight; you can see . It was an easy walk to other attractions at Craigellachie. The breakfast was tasty. Overall we are very happy with our stay. Will go back and try their pizzas next time!

Just to note that if you are coming to the Lodge on A941 from the Craigellachie distillery, the left turn is so sharp that it may be better just keep going, doing a U-turn at some point and then entering from the opposite direction.

We were absolutely blown away by our stay at the Craigellachie Lodge, and the only downside was that we couldn't stay longer. The interior is exceptionally well-done and just completely stunning throughout – as well as gorgeous rooms (which are comfortable, spotless, and full of really thoughtful touches), there is also a beautiful drawing room and bar area. It is obvious how much time and care has been spent to create a hotel that is both beautiful and welcoming, and it has absolutely paid off. We also felt so warmly welcomed and well looked-after, particularly after spending time in the bar while the owner Scott chatted with us and recommended local drinks for us to try. Every bite of the breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional. We would not hesitate to recommend the Craigellachie Lodge to anyone passing through or for longer stays in the area, as we wish we could have stayed for more than one night – thank you so much to Scott and the whole team for such a wonderful stay.
