Stayed here with the family there was 11 of us and 4 under 6 Children. All I can say is the website dose not do this place justice. We stayed in the house that has 6 bedrooms with ensuites. On arrival everything was spotless and all bedrooms were arranged to our requirements it's such a lovely place that even all the kids felt relaxed. Kitchen has everything you need and the hosts are both amazing they go above and beyond in making sure we had a great stay. They had a few toys for the kids to play with and kept the wood restocked. Kids just loved running around the big house and playing in the outside area which is great for kids. This was our second time staying and both service and accommodation were amazing. Beds are very comfortable and everyone had a good night sleep. The adults had a great time swimming in the pond they also have boats and life jackets. Both bedrooms and bathroom are very modern and clean. I could go on about this place but the main thing was my kids felt comfortable and happy at Garth barns and all of us had such a great time.

5 star all over. Veronica makes sure that everything is ready.
Space is ample, lake, fire pit, games, pool, gym, rooms compliment a wonderful week away. A visit to Llandiloes on tuesday market day is essential

We had a great family holiday at the barns. Its a beautiful place and the hosts Veronica and John were very friendly and always there to help. The barns are very comfortable and very clean. They are perfect for get together with family and friends. It has its own private lake with rowing boats. We had hours of fun on the lake. We would definitely go there again. Its Amazing.

Just be very cautious before booking to stay at this accommodation. I had an accident where a bath over ran (the baths are extremely fast flowing and there should be an overflow system in place). There were 2 small water stains on the ceiling of a very small utility room. Veronica said not to worry at all as it was a 5 minute job and 'just a lick of paint' of paint which she already had loads of. However, she then made the decision to retain the £500 deposit for 14 days and charged a very large amount, failing to provide receipts for proof of work when I requested them. She also attempted to deduct money for a bit of nail polish she discovered on some bed linen.

As a party we were very respectful of her property and ensured we cleaned up, hoovered and left all rooms to an immaculate standard. We also made sure we vacated at the early check out time of 9.30am.

The place is undeniably beautiful with idyllic surroundings but as the deposit is such a large amount of money you could be treading on eggshells throughout your stay, especially as children are allowed to stay. It may then be difficult to get your money back in a timely manner and sums of money could be deducted from your deposit quite ruthlessly.

Great converted barn with thick walls suitable for large groups/families in a beautiful tranquil location with a garden, pond, lake and surrounded by fields. It has 6 bedrooms with central heating from doubles to 5/6 people with 2 kitchens (one being a spacious and well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with refectory table as well as a second dining table), mainly en suite bathrooms, and a very large living room with a log burner. The other "barn" is a modern building to match the conversion and has a games room as well as a large entertaining area/living room, kitchen and more multiple accommodation.

Went to Garth Barns for the bank holiday. We had one of the converted barns, there is another one across a large lawn. It was a lovely conversion with plenty of space. It had a table tennis table in the large garage, boules and other games. There was a lake on the site where we went kayaking and it had easy access to lots of walks. The host was very helpful, we would definitely go back and strongly recommend.

My family and I came in August of 2021 and we had a wonderful time with a near perfect house. A Pool table, Table Tennis table, a Swimming Lake, a connected kitchen, dining room and living room, what more could you ask for?

HOWEVER

The price has recently been increased more than what it's worth and because of that, we wont be coming back until the price goes down. We were going to come here in August of 2023 but the price increase drew us away. That's what happens when you increase the price above what it's worth, you draw away potential customers. There's plenty more lovely and AFFORDABLE houses in Montgomeryshire for us.

We have just come back from Garth Barns after a 6 night stay with the family. What an amazing place set in the most beautiful countryside and so peaceful. The barns are absolutely great we stayed in the Hafod Barn and OMG what a beautiful place, six double bedrooms, 4 ensuite and a massive living/dining/kitchen and Pool Table. We also had use of the Sauna, Gym and Table Tennis and an undercover BBQ area (amazing). Veronica and her husband were absolutely lovely people and couldn't do enough for you they were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend Garth Barns and would love to return ourselves.
