Wickers Gymnastics Club

Unless you're a top performer then you won't get your money's worth here. The kids spend an awful lot of time waiting for their turn; several of the coaches coach by sitting on their bums and telling the kids what to do - and not helping them to progress. If your child is shy (like mine) then other kids will be allowed to push in front to take more turns on the equipment - without the coaches noticing that your shy child is not really taking part. The gym itself looks amazing and the equipment is second to none; but soon enough you'll find yourself paying for your child to stand around for 75% of the lesson.

The staff are amazing, really supportive of the young new starters and the equipment seems to be top-drawer, (I'm really no expert in that regard). Special events such as Halloween and Christmas parties are great for the enrolled and bring that little extra to the club, there's space for parents to watch although not the most comfortable but that might be down to my posterior. If you are staying to watch for the first time I haven't spied anywhere to buy a drink so take one with you.

My daughter loves going to Wickers, she cant wait for her next session, always excited to go. She has learned so much since being there almost 3 years ago and the coaches are amazing at what they do and amazing with the kids. I would highly recommend sending your kids there.

My daughter has been attending Wickers since she was 11 months she is now 4. We first attended the glow worms sessions which she loved so much that now she attends the butterfly sessions. She gets extremely excited every week and asks from the moment she wakes up to go. Charlotte and Carlene are both incredibly patient, calm but also lots of fun. They always encourage not only my daughter but all the children in the session to the best of their ability. Olivia has not only learnt gymnastic skills but she's learnt the art of waiting her turn, team skills, building her confidence away from her parents in a social aspect and discipline. I couldn't recommend the instructors enough!

My pre-school daughter loves these classes. She is so confident going in without me and comes out 'full of it!' She has so much to tell me about what she has done in the classes and how lovely the teachers are. Getting a stamp at the end of the lesson is the cherry on the cake.
