Some of UK's best gymnasts - Courtney Tolloch and James Hall are coached there so I know that the club is cut about the rest.
Pegasus has a great reputation but it felt as though the focus was on kids in the competitive teams and the general classes went through the same motions week in and week out with no change up and no push to improve. My daughter was desperate to compete and having thought this was the natural progression I soon realised that the majority of children are not given this opportunity and will instead repeat the same circuit of activities every week for months at a time.
My daughter started aged 7 and able to backwards walkover and achieve splits in each direction. After attending Pegasus for over a year, she had lost most of her flexibility, the ability to do the backwards walkovers and began to miss lessons through boredom.
Within 3 weeks of joining an alternative school, she was able to perform an aerial (a skill that we were told she needed in order to compete, but Pegasus would not teach her) has joined their squad and placed Top 3 in her first competition. The improvement in her skills has been vast and she is flourishing.
The teachers at Pegasus were all lovely, and the gym has brilliant equipment and layout, but for a child that was desperate to learn more and try new things Pegasus did not meet our expectations.
Small cafe with seating if u are waiting serving drinks and snacks.
Lots of parking spaces
