Lovely Haberdashery in Crawley, I called and left a voicemail, they returned my call. I also went in to the shop, they're really nice people and it's a really nice shop. Plenty of great fabrics and all the tiny bits you need too.

Went to Jill's with my daughter who is doing GCSE textiles. The lovely lady who served us couldn't have been more helpful. She advised us on the best material to use and even worked out how much we would need as we didn't have a pattern.

Popped in here to get some fabric to cover some head rests on garden loungers. Very helpful. Everything you need for your sewing projects, they also stock wool. Would highly recommend this shop .

I had my prom dress hem sewn to make it shorter and I had the straps of my dress replaced. I was perfect! The 2 lovely ladies were so helpful and it was done in time and It was a reasonable price.

Such a lovely helpful welcoming group of people! I brought made the measure curtains from somewhere and I measured the track to the length I needed them, anyway when they arrived they were to short width way and still let light in to my bedroom which defeats the objects of curtains which I ended up spending a lot of money on. So I had a look round and come across Jill’s sewing room and took my curtains in there to see if they could do anything to help. I spoke with the manager who was extremely helpful and told me she will do her very best to help me to get my curtains to fit because she understood how annoying it must be for me. I left my curtains with her for a week or so and when I went to collect them she explained what she had done, she is a very friendly professional lady, and told me that if it did not work to bring them back and she’ll alter them again. I’ve hung them now and won’t need to be taking them back as she has done an amazing job and they look fabulous, thank you so much, highly recommended!

Prices are ridiculous. I visited a year ago to get a name patch sewn onto kit and was charged £5. This week I was charged £15 for the same thing!!! It’s literally stitching four sides of a name patch. When received, the stitches were untidy and the patch folded in places ! There was nothing we could do as the kit was needed for this weekend. I will be buying a sewing machine and doing it myself in future!

As my window was a non standard size, I considered ordering a pair of curtains made to fit online - very expensive. I ended up buying a pair of ready made curtains that needed shortening to fit & Jill's Sewing Room did an amazing job, even turning the 'off-cuts' into two lined runners for my bedside cabinets (which pull everything together beautifully). Professional result, ready when promised & good value for money.
