Immediately I had some reservations whilst the stylist was cutting, and in a very weird way, my hair and I immediately did not like it but, being a super polite person, and being an Early Years Teacher and NOT a professional hairdresser, I just let her do my hair, then paid, gave a tip as I always do and made another appointment then walked away!
We skipped the shampoo as the hair stylist said "have you just washed your hair? Oh okay so no shampoo is needed" 😳
The stylist asked me what I wanted to be done and I replied "I am very hot and have loads of hair that are heavy I don't know what to do please help as I need some shaping first I think to make sense of my hair, as my hair has the tendency to go curly so even if I have pictures they might have not looked good ON ME. The answer was a rude "well this is not really fair on us because we don't know what to do or what you want..." 😳
I started looking for pictures on my phone, then said I had some pictures. The hairstylist said "I saw them I was looking"😳 (I found this quite impolite), she then said "I am cutting here and there to see how it turns out". I was shocked and even more shocked when she said "I think it's better as you have such beautiful curly hair, to let it dry naturally" so no blow dry either! 😳
Next morning I brushed my hair and did my hairline straight (thing that the hairdresser did NOT do on the day), only to discover 2 uneven bunch of hair as per picture I posted. Sadly I will cancel my next appointment...
I ended up cutting my hair by myself and did a pretty good job!
WOULD NOT GO THERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
helpful, welcoming and professional - he booked me with Sandra for my first visit to Rush in Wimbledon. I am so thrilled with my hair cut and blow !! I have difficult thick hair and her textursing and styling techniques were great.
Sandra listened to exactly what I wanted...( just did it better ) 😆 What a lovely gentle lady too.. I felt in good hands form the time I sat down and I'm fussy about my hair coming from South Africa
DEF 5 🌟
Don’t risk it if it’s a special occasion. My instinct was to walk out when I saw the shabbiness of the salon, with awful fake flowers, and hair next to my feet collected but not put away.
My hairdresser was sick and unfortunately I had to take the chance ….
I made it quite clear on the occasion, what was required but the approach was generic and non consultative. I could have accepted that if the result had been good.
However, the experience was ruined by the FOH staff member starting to clean around me an hour before closing. Sweeping hair, or folding towels... Fine. But he was literally spraying down the chairs, mopping and then towel drying the floor, bleaching the sinks, etc. Made me feel like I was an inconvenience to him. My cut hadn't even been done when he was mopping the floor so my hairdresser had to reassure me that that was going ahead. Very unprofessional and let the hairdresser down in my opinion.
