Doo-Das Hairdresser Canterbury

I have never been so disappointed in a hair dressers before. I hate writing bad reviews but I simply cannot believe this place charges people considering the quality. I asked Zoe and later Sam for blonde highlights and I got very streaky, blocky highlights- completely unblended and no where near my roots. My hair just looked messy and it was so bad I couldn’t even put it up. Even when they attempted to fix it, my hair was left with indents and lines from all the foils. I have my hair coloured once to twice a year for many years now, and this was hands down the worst highlight I’ve ever gotten. Please don’t come here, especially if you have an important event coming up! You can see from the photos exactly where each foil was. Considering they charge 110 pounds for this- I am simply shocked. I will definitely never come here again.

Having not had my hair cut since lockdown it was in need of some TLC and I was a little apprehensive. Katy, as ever, was very reassuring, listened to my thoughts and my mop and I came out feeling like new! The whole team were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

From the second I stepped in the door and the lovely lady at the front saying my name correctly, to the wonderful shampoo and head massage Grace did, and finally the incredible job Sarah did cutting my hair I cannot thank you enough. After a number of disastrous haircuts and people damaging my hair I finally feel like I found someone who took the time to understand what I wanted and explain properly to me what they were doing so I didn't feel anxious. Sarah, I cannot rate you enough. Thank you thank you thank you. I will definitely be coming back. Well worth the money.

Just amazing. I have severe anxiety and find going to the hairdressers difficult and not enjoyable. I was made to feel so relaxed and welcomed. Everybody is so friendly and kind. My stylist Katy was a breath of fresh air and so knowledgeable, her advice and conduct were outstanding. I'm actually looking forward to my next visit. This is the first time in a long time that I actually felt confident and in love with my own hair. It looks so healthy now and I can't thank Katy enough. 10/10

Karen really cut my hair to suit me and worked with the curls so it looks lovely both styled and left natural.

The student hairdresser did an awesome job with my bob haircut, while also being quite hospitable by asking me whether I wanted something to drink!

She talked me through why she was using certain products on my hair, after asking me what issues I was facing with my hair.

She styled it quite nicely at the end giving me my best ever straightened hair finish.

My first hair cut since 2019! I was nervous about the condition of my hair as it’s been a while, the young lady who reassured me on how to look after my hair and what products to use made me feel a lot more comfortable about my hair. We spoke about what my hair had been though, what we can improve on to help growth and listened to my opinions on how I wanted a fringe cut in and still kept my favourite facial features. Made me feel very welcomed and always asked consent to use each product in my hair. Thank you Naomi!

I had never had my hair cut in a salon before, after growing my hair out for a few years after damaging it with bleach I decided that it was time for a cut. I booked in with Karen after reading a few good reviews. When I arrived, I said to Karen that I was there for a hair cut but wasn’t sure what I actually wanted to do with my hair, what would look good or what needed doing. Karen came up with a fantastic plan for my hair and totally transformed it! I’m very happy that I went to get my hair cut today with Karen. She also styled it beautifully, it feels like a new head of hair. So happy with the overall treatment from walking in the door to leaving! Will never use another hair salon.
