Absolutely love Leigh Roberts, the team are all lovely and make you feel so welcome, the salon is gorgeous and relaxing! I’ve always been very happy with any cuts or colours I have had here, particularly with Charlotte whose fantastically talented.. always recommended highly to all :)

My second visit to Leigh Roberts - and I just wanted to say a Big Thank You to the wonderful Gary who has coloured and cut my hair both times. He really listens and gave me his full attention when we talked about options for hair colour.. and the cut he did is super stylish and exactly what I had in mind. The salon is smart and understated with a restful atmosphere and everyone is very professional and friendly. Really looking forward to my next appointment !

These guys absolutely saved my hair! Rosie is now my regular hairdresser here and she is amazing, my hair now looks beautiful! Everyone here is so lovely and welcoming and the head massage during the wash is a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for the perfect colour and cut.

If you want a drastic change (i.e. dark to light) pick somewhere else, ideally somewhere that offers a consultation first. I came here in August after reading a lot of good reviews. I explained to the lady on the phone (who was actually very polite - couldn't fault her) that I had very long dark hair and wanted to go lighter (I was thinking Balayage blonde). I showed my hairdresser a picture of what I wanted, fully aware that it wouldn't be possible in one sitting. To cut a long story short, she did the Balayage look, but only came over once during the developing time. I understand that they see clients during this time, I didn't have a problem with that, but I never saw my hairdresser again (except when doing the Toner), she didn't even come and speak to me once my hair was done. I honestly felt like I was on a conveyor belt. I had no idea what my next steps should be so I didn't book another appt. I didn't realise how much I wasted my money until I went to a different salon. They offered me a consultation to begin with and then booked me in for the following week. They did a bleach bath, foils and toner and it worked! I came out as a blonde! So please, if you want that big change in hair colour make sure you have a colour consultation first, otherwise you'll just be wasting your time and money

I have been coming to Leigh Roberts for a few years now and always leave feeling fabulous. Charlotte is an amazing hairdresser and takes a lot of time and care doing my hair. I recommend Leigh Roberts to all my friends and they always have a positive experience. Would never go anywhere else!

Quite simply the best salon in East Sussex. 3 years ago I walked into Leighs salon for a consultation with a colour correction gone horribly wrong. So many salons turned me away, or said "chop it all off". I now have very long, thick blonde hair, and I'm a natural level 3 brunette, and its all done with no damage (I've never had that in a lifetime of pursueing blonde goals!). Gorgeous salon, and some of the best colourists and stylists in the country without the London price tag. A friendly team, who you can trust 100%.

I was very surprised to read the latest review. The reviewer said that she received no consultation regarding colour. also she said no one came to check on her when her colour was 'taking'. I have been coming to Leigh Roberts since it opened (seem ages ago) and every time I come to have colour, cut and style I always have a consultation with both Leigh and Gary even though I have the same thing. I used to live in T' Wells but moved to Essex a few years ago but still come to have my hair done. Best hair dressers ever! and I've been to a few.
