Rush Hair

~update; five stars. The salon manager was kind enough to contact me and offer a free fix to sort my hair, and a refund which was incredibly generous. Bianca was amazing, never missed a moment to tell me how she was going to go about the fix, ensured I was completely happy with the plan she had (I was already accepting of the fact I’d have to go even shorter) and she was incredibly welcoming and kind. I WILL be coming back. Thank you :) ~

Went in for a cut and blow dry, the lady who cut my hair was lovely, curled it exactly how I liked it, however after washing it and letting it go straight I’ve now realised I will not be able to wear it down. There are parts so short the don’t blend with the rest of my head, the longest layer at the back is so long that it looks like I’ve attempted to give myself layers and left the bottom part. This is very very disappointing as I know I won’t be able to style it the same and will have to attempt to until it grows out. For £50 I won’t be coming back.

Went for a cut and colour. Told the stylist i wanted chocolate brown and specifically said i didn’t want to dye it black however it still turned out black. What frustrated me the most was she insisted it wasn’t and that it was brown! Anyways called the salon the next day as I wasn’t happy and it was Liam i saw, he constantly reassured me that he was going to get the colour i wanted and i am so glad i got him to correct my colour. Couldn't be more happy with it as he was spot on with the colour i wanted!

Every time I have a lovely experience at Rush Baker street. The staff is friendly and kind and I always leave the salon with a fantastic feeling.

Every time she patiently talks me through what can or can’t be done with my hair and gives great advice on how to maintain care afterwards. My hair now is healthier than ever regardless of the dyeing and bleaching. I am happy with the result every time I get my hair done with Nikki.

I was recommended to come here by my cousin but sadly very disappointed. 1st there was no manager or receptionist to handle the clients the stylist was doing it all on her own. I went with a consultation appointment. It was done and I asked if I could get it done today and she said she’s busy but could work around and if I could stay. I agreed but wasn’t given a quote. When I asked how much she gave me a rough quote of how much including services I wouldn’t need and I was like I don’t need that if it works to one price without the extras I’m happy to wait and do it. I understand she had a client waiting and she was doing the job of the receptionist as well but once I said it she said you should go with someone lower I’m busy I won’t be able to do it go online see the prices and make your appointment. I was like surprised one minute she said she could even though she was busy with extras like blow dry olaplex but when I said I need only color which actually when you think of it saves her time she says no. This is not how a customer should be treated.

I’ve been using Rush Baker Street on and off for the past few years and I have to say since about a year ago when I had my first appointment with Nikki I never went to any other salons to get my hair done! She is just incredibly talented and well experienced. My hair is healthier than ever regardless of the dyeing and bleaching. I am 100% satisfied with my hair every time I get my hair done with Nikki. She patiently talks me through what can or can’t be done and always makes the most beautiful highlights without any yellow or brassy tones. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Nikki.

Commuting from France, I never miss the chance to have my hair styled by David at RUSH on Baker Street. He has helped me manage growing my hair long over the years and especially listens and advises me on all aspects of my hair (colour, cut, styling, products..). It's a bit pricey but worth every penny and I cannot recommend David and this friendly salon enough. Félicitations! W :-)

I had very damaged hair, it was dyed by my friend during lockdown. I went into the salon thinking probably nothing could be done, however Nikki transformed my hair completely!! She got all the orange tones from the bleach out, she completely made me feel brand new. Honestly it came out so much better than I could ever imagine, she talked me through every stage, you could tell she was very experienced!! I have my complete confidence back, I have been looking for a hair dresser for ages!!! And finally have found a hair dresser who understands my hair and what suits me!! She was so nice and helpful!! The reception lady Olga was so nice and gentle when washing my hair. Very welcoming!! Couldn’t recommend them more. The reason I came back to this salon was a year ago Erika cut my hair and she honestly did a fantastic job too!! She literally looked like she nearly broke her back while cutting it, paid attention to detail - can’t recommend the girls enough especially Nikki!!!!!

I had a great experience with Nikki! I had my hair coloured elsewhere and was really unhappy with the result. Nikki took her time to explain what I needed to do and which colour would suit my skin tone. She did a great job and I’m much happier with my hair colour. I also love the fact that they have a curtained area at the back for women who wear a hijab or want some privacy
