As a male customer I’ve always found Val to be welcoming, attentive and chatty. She always endeavours to ensure that the clients hair cutting needs are fully met and you are satisfied with the cut when you are leaving. Having had many haircuts by numerous male and female hairdressers over the years I can safely say that Val is amongst the very best of these. The atmosphere is relaxed and the salon spotless and beautifully maintained.

Val has been doing my hair for 6years, she is such a lovely lady . Always chatty welcoming and friendly. She is very good at cutting and styling you hair. I would recommend Val anytime to do your hair, very professional. .

I'm not normally one to write reviews but I also know how important finding a hairdresser who you can trust is, I've been to my fair share! I've been going to Solo for the last 20 years since I moved up to Kendal from down south and I always receive nothing but an excellent hair cut and colour...I have curly hair and believe me, it takes a lot to find a hairdresser than understands my hair the way Val does!

The salon is in a peaceful location, set back from the main road and there is always a friendly, inviting atmosphere. Val is fantastic, the salon is small and so friendly, we always have a good giggle and I always leave with a smile on my face and fabulous hair! I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get my hair done.

Val has cut & highlighted my hair for over 20 years now & she is always lovely, talkative, friendly & in my opinion extremely honest. Brill little salon with fantastic stylist!

I have been coming to Valf or hair cuts for many years. She is a lovely lady and gives me amazing haircuts and colour, including highlights.
She also cuts my daughters curly hair and manages to tame her wild locks.
10/10 would reccomend.

Val is an amazing hair dresser, I (Claire, Konrad's wife) have been going to Val for over 15 years now and without exception I am always delighted with her work, she is also a lovely person and delivers a consistently high standard. Amazing cut and colour - I always get compliments after she has cut my hair, also from friends who are hairdressers who alway comment on the quality of the cut she does. I have been attending Solo since 2006. I continue to go there because the hairdresser is very skilled. She works with your hair to make it look its best. She doesn't try things on your hair that she knows wouldn't work. She has worked with me over the years, colouring my hair and cutting it, preparing it for my wedding , and eventually helping me go grey gracefully. She does all this at a very reasonable price. I would recommend anyone to go to Solo.
