If I could give this place minus stars, I would. Never have I ever had such a horrible experience with a hairdresser before. My hair was dry cut by Dana who was the only hairdresser in there that day. Others might be alright, I don't know. I booked the appointment based on Google reviews and it was a shocking experience I did not expect at all.
Dana was rude, did not consult the hairstyle, just started cutting my hair off (and more than I asked her to - ends only) - everything straight and literally made me look like Hagrid. She finished and acted as if she was done with me and I should now jump off the chair. I was very puzzled and asked for at least some layers - she quickly cut in one layer you cannot even see properly. Did not show me what it looks like from behind, did not brush off the cut hair of my clothes, just waited for me to get out.
As a bonus to make me feel terrible, she was pulling her face the entire time like I was some kind of garbage - btw, I was wearing clean sport clothes, not a suit - maybe that would make me look more worthy to her. If you'll be coming here, maybe wear a gown, put your best jewellery and make-up on, make your hair and you should be good to go.
She asked for £19 which was a sick joke after that performance, and they don't take cards, so I had to go get cash. Honestly, I did not want to come back! I did, paid it, got out, and will never be coming back.
Sorry, but this one experience with one hairdresser can really ruin it for the entire team/salon. Like I said, maybe others are nice. Unfortunately, I will never find out.

I’ve been coming to Shine for many years and although Kim mainly cuts, colours and styles my hair I’ve also experienced Dayna, Rachel, Sarah and Fern. All have been excellent! Welcoming, friendly and always do an amazing job! Especially impressed with their covid precautions! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!!

Had my haircut today by Sarah and she did a wonderful job! ✨ She was lovely to chat with and very friendly, the same is to be said for Kim ☺️ I would definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful salon! 🤍

Well what can I say. This girl has magic hands. Every time I walk into Shine I’m a mess (nearly 20 years). No confidence, not feeling good about my self and I always walk out feeling on top of the world. Kate always makes me feel special, no matter how busy she is. It is literally like a therapy session every time and when you walk out with hair like this you can see why my confidence sky rockets.
Thank you so much. I honestly can’t recommend Shine and Kate highly enough for any colour or cut. She really knows her stuff. Still can’t believe this is my hair 💇‍♀️💚

Really nice salon that is also reasonably priced. Lyndsey does my hair and she's so patient and very good at getting you the finish you want, she has a sound knowledge of hair colouring. I also know a lot of people who speak very highly of Kim too. Highly recommended.
