Cheap and cheerful. Mine was a £7.95 “small” platter of fish and chips, and it was perfect. As of June 2022, they must have changed the fish supplier as they said in response to another review, because there were no bones (and no complaints). Happy to have stumbled in, also recommend the mint and lemon drink, which is like a light mint lassi.

I don't know what this was... but the fish was rotting on the plate and had a taste of mold with bad smell coming from it. My friend ate it to only get a terrible tummy that evening.

The portion of the fish and chips is surprisingly big for a small one. Even the English style breakfasts are decent portions. Considering that everything we ordered was under £10, the amount of food we got was definitely worth it. The quality is decent. The fish was cooked nicely and it had a soft texture which was complemented greatly by the crispy batter. The chips were not as crunchy but they were still fine. Service was a bit lacking as no one spoke to us for a good 5 to 10 minutes after we got in the restaurant, but they were still quick to serve us and did it in a friendly fashion.

Really wanted to like this place as seen a few recent reviews that the food was good. Unfortunately this was not the case for us. It was clear from the start that they were understaffed with only 3 people manning the service. We waited about 30++ mins for our food - which considering we ordered fish and chips and shawarma - shouldn’t normally take that long.

We ordered a medium cod and a small haddock and both of them were about the same size (see photo). And when we enquired, the staff (who we presume is the owner) said that it was the based on the weight of the fish rather than the actual size (which we respectfully disagreed with, because they look exactly the same size for a £4 difference).
There were also a few fish bones found as well :(

The shawarmas were okay. A bit overpriced.
We weren’t served our drinks as well and we refused to pay for the service charge because of this. There was no apology when we gave feedback.

Overall, okay food but terrible service :(

Lovely guys running the place, and delicious fish and chips of good portions.
Reasonably priced too.

This was past 10pm and the quality of the food was still good.
One of the batter fish and chips around (pun intended).

Really great food and the servers are always super nice. My son’s favorite is the chicken nuggets with some chocolate cake after. So good! Not expensive and huge portions. Really charming spot right in South Kensington, across from the Gloucester tube stop.

Best place to eat. We ordered English breakfast and one from the deals (chi. wings, rice & salad). Food is tasty and well balanced. We got extra chi. curry for our rice 😋 service is great. Good ambience. Definitely eating again here.
