One of the worst biryanis I've had ever!

Ordered 1 lamb biryani (takeaway) and 6 hot wings, of which 4 must've been quail wings!

Came back after many years to take a lamb biryani home for sehri - it was absolutely horrendous. The rice was old and the pellet sized meat pieces were tough and rubbery. Asked for hot and spicy - there was zero green chillies and tasted bland.

Note to the owner - can you advise if its normal to give 6 cardamom seeds in one biryani? Seems wasteful to me. I would be having words with my chef if it were my business.

Tarka daal on the other hand was ok, hence the extra star in the rating.

Otherwise I felt ripped off and once again disappointed by the Flagship Spice Hut branch. I just hope my fast isn't affected tomorrow.

Best food in London hands down. The best prices. You really can't beat it. For £4 you can get a meal that will not only be leaving you wanting more, but also leaves you speechless on how good the prices are considering the quality of the food.

I love their lamb doner, it's in pieces instead of thin slices, it can be chosen with level of spiciness, I chose medium spicy. It was put in wrap costing £3. Delicious and filling. Will come back and try other menu

Let's start with the positives or positive rather cause the only thing that was serviceable were the fries which were thin and crispy so well done spice hut for having over a decade in the game and knowing how to make fries...
But it all goes downhill from there.

I've seen more consistent breading on a wet towel than Spice hut's wings but honestly... Its probably for the best cause the flavour on it is just as bad.

The cheeseburger had more brown lettuce than brown people in Stepney, the cheese was so overpowering you can't taste the meat, just a hint of ketchup, how do you mess up a cheeseburger??

The chilli sauce is probably the only thing keeping this business afloat and no, don't you dare confuse the chilli sauce with the blood coloured red sauce/sweet chilli cause boy that is the most rank liquid both in smell and taste.

Overall it is a cheap spot to eat but if you're around the area I'd recommend you try the neighbouring chicken spots cause spice hut is just dissapointing and frankly a disgusting place to eat.

This chicken shop Chicken Tikka Birani tastes better than a lot of the established Indian restaurants in the area.

I enjoyed little lunch with my friend. Tasty food, well presented and well served. Did make my stomach happy 😀. Food appeared to be fresh and well spiced up!

Spice hut, where the chickens are really fresh. Went back last week Nov 2022. Food took ages, chef cleaning his nose before picking chips up and putting it back in the tray. Very dirty restaurant, looks like owners are out to make as much before they close down.

I have been coming here for a very long time and the taste is the same. Love their spicy sauce and hot wings. I would also recommend their doner which fresh and one of the best in the market.
