Gilmartins Ironmongers

There isn't anything the two chaps behind the counter do not know about each and every product they sell, which is no mean feat as they stock hundreds of different items. I would recommend this store over the multiples any day of the week.

Lovely little shop with everything you could need for DIY. Also, a very modern set up with their payments, not many of these places take card payments but Gilmartins do. Will definitely using more of this place for my bits of bobs. They also have a wide selection of crockery and kitchenware... best not tell the wife just yet. Joking aside, definitely worth a visit.

I have never been in this shop before as I live in Slaidburn but I cannot speak too highly of how I was treated this morning. I needed a toilet seat for an elderly client of mine who lives in Whalley. She had purchased a seat over the internet but then lost the fittings so I took the seat with me just to get the right size. Unfortunately they didn’t have any until next week but the owner looked at the one I had brought in and found me some fittings which he thought would be suitable. Together with another customer they tinkered with all the bits and pieces, declared them compatible and gave me a rapid tutorial on how to assemble it all. All this at a cost of only £4! At Gilmartins you always get friendly, helpful service together with good advice on DIY problems. They nearly always have what you want. First class shop; a little gem.

Very good bits and bobs shop stocking everything from DIY to househgold items. They also cut keys which is great! Always happy to help you :)

A really well stocked hardware shop, an asset to Whalley. My first visit but will definitely be calling in again.
