I enjoy using this store. Good variety of products and reasonable prices. Staff usually friendly and helpful. BUT: at times paying can try your patience, especially at returns desk. Could do with more tills open at times and fewer be people encouraging card payments.

Usually a good place to shop but at the moment this store is a complete mess. A big portion of the store is closed and everything else has been moved around. While the prices are generally low, especially for the own brand products, the standard price for some items is much higher than other supermarkets. Most of the time they only have a few tills open resulting in unnecessary queues.

Lovely staff... loads of stuff...and even more stuff that you didn't even know you needed.

From hair dyes to printing paper, gardening stuff, Christmas, trees, lights and decorations, air fresheners to cotton wool buds, curtains to bathroom soap dispensers, paint for walls, wallpaper and sticky tapes, pencil sharpeners, wrapping paper, soap and toothpaste to boxes of chocolate, and tons of sweets, rolling pins cutlery to fragrant candles and wool for knitting, gifts and bleach, tea towels and face cream and vitamins, kids toys and stuff to wash your car, pegs and washing baskets, envelopes and real cactus, bird seeds and lightbulbs ..!!!! ENDLESS.

I understand these shops have taken over from good old Woolworths...(Woolies).

It's quite spacious and it seems like they have a lot of things, especially homewares.

I went there to use the Photobooth but was able to see a lot of their items.

When next I am around that area and want to shop, I will check it out.

The goods are fine and the pricing is good. However the staffing is always an issue. Long queues at tills because there are no staff to manage them. The self service tills are poorly manned as well. I just leave my stuff and go.

I was honestly quite shocked visiting the Romford Wilko the other day, it's a shadow of it's former self. It really looks like it's going out of business, with large sections of empty or nearly empty shelving all over the store. It just looks tatty and run down like it's barely hanging on for dear life, such a shame.

An underrated store in my opinion. So many times I have gone in here and found what I need, often at a much better price. Best example being Cuprinol Shades paint - was £4 for a tiny tester pot in b&q and I think we bought multiple 1 litre tins of paint for £6! Got the garden fences done for an absolute bargain!
