Went into purchase van lock today, the girl behind counter was extremely rude and obnoxious to a customer in front of me she then turned round and told me to move to the other side as that is were you line up to be served ,all though no other person was there. It came to my turn and was asked to come up to counter, I asked politely if they have any van locks and she abruptly replyed I dont know have you got a code , I said no, and she through a book at me and said have a look . I said why are you so angry and mentioned the customer previously that she was rude to and she said if you dont like go elsewhere, and on that note I said you have an attitude problem and your customers skills need addressing and left to go elsewhere . We all have bad days but leave it at the door before coming to work.

The white hair lady that work there has massive attitude problems, an older gentleman was in front off me and said to her I can't find an item in the book can you help, she wouldn't stop shaking her head at him was really blunt and was overall very rude if you don't like a job where you are asked questions about products why work in a DIY store where every customer asks questions

I witnessed a horrible thing today at toolstation 25/07/22 at just aftre 11am
A man asked one of toolstation's managers to help him find the part on the screen as the man said he didn't have Internet to find the code.

I was queuing and heard the manager shouting at the man and saying you need to take a book and find the part yourself. Them man kept silent and before he left, he said, is this how you treat your regular customers? Then he said you'll get a good review!

So do I! Someone here should have a word with this manager please otherwise we will just go to Screwfix.

Hope this manager will apologise for losing his temper with his customers.

You know what you're expecting when you visit toolstation. The staff are akin to argos staff. Mostly friendly but lack experience what they stock/sell. As such staff likely have a higher turnaround rate. Screwfix tend to have more experienced staff.
Toolstation business is geared towards this, you understand and get what you want and it's in/out within 3mins.
Screwfix, I can spend 15min querying about an item/setup and end up not buying anything - as such if just want to get the item and get on with the job, toolstation is the place to go.

Toolstation stock packages are better and cost less (generally). This branch does well with stocks.

Reviews are generally more realistic compared to 'amazon like' reviews you find in screwfix.

Always helpful.. people get them confused with b&q.. Toolstation is there to hand you the tools you've purchased.. unlike b&q they only have a limited amount of time and staff to help you, if you don't know what is best for the job, Go to b&q and they have plenty more staff to help and guide you..give Toolstation a break, long hours and annoying customers!!

I'm fed up with the way they treat customers. I have seen a good improvement for the last couple of months but today at 14:37 there was a guy serving and was so rude. He doesn't represent toolstation at all. He said to me if you don't have the code I can't help and have no time to look for what you need. Seriously this guy's attitude has to be reviewed. Yes I would like to shop from here but I want to see some welcoming and positive face from this guy.

I needed some tools to replace a couple bulk heads and my normal supplier had closed at 2pm. The guys in the station were very helpful and provided great service. I would recommend the Guildford branch if you have any jobs on ✔️

I use this branch almost daily throughout the week. Staff are always friendly and polite. Click and collect orders are ready within minutes of ordering. Couldn't ask for better service.
