You expect a local shop to be pricey, but far from it! An Aladin's cave of useful things for the DIYer and household supplies at very decent prices. Especially when you consider the convenience and helpfulness of the owners and staff. They have helped me out on many occasions. Give them a go, you won't regret it!

We stopped in here on recommendation to get some fire wood. The store was well stocked and seemed to have everything needed of a good hardware store. The person serving us was very friendly and helpful and full fo Christmas cheer.
