Otford Kent Circular Walk

Second attempt to complete this walk, but after a false start achieved it. Fortunately Ben dried off after his paddle before reaching the car but a bit pongy😮 Blackberries were huge and ready for picking, ate quite a few too

Nice view, quiet circular walk. Easy walk through the villages. There is a huge car park near town centre to leave your car for a whole day at very cheap rate.

Amazing hiking, beautiful area. Mostly flat. Starting from main car park turn right and then right again by the river. Follow the path from there...

Lovely walk, several different options of route and you can get right up into the surrounding hillsides and get some great views. Park in Otford village car park as there is no parking near the the start of the walk itself.

This was an enjoyable trail. For anyone in good health and reasonable fitness, it's quite a straightforward walk. There are a couple of gradients but it's easy to take breaks if needed.

Trail shoes, walking boots or wellies are recommended. I personally wore regular trail shoes in December 2022 and they were fine.

Park in the village centre , located next to the start line. There are picnic benches near the start/finish but nothing that I could see in between.

We took about 2 hours 10 minutes. It might be quicker in the summer when it's drier. Or slower when it's a bit wetter.

Only a very short section of the walk is on the road.

Easy to follow path and surprisingly dry in January. Loads of different paths in the same area all worth exploring. Loads of hills if that's your thing!

I've walked around Otford circular walk for the 3rd week now. Finding different paths to explore. Seeing Interesting things and sceenery along the way. So many different directions to take, or stick to main route. 👍👍 There are different levels of endurance to consider. But none are too extreme.

Not a bad walk through the area. Lacks outright stunning views but a pleasure to hike through anyway.
