Beautiful place to go for a walk in the forest. Three diffrent walks ranging in length. We walked the longest to see the forest garden, it was well worth the long walk to see the native trees. Beautiful valley with strem at the bottom. Easy parking and toilets.

Beautiful area to walk around, so peaceful. Clearly marked walks for different abilities and distances, just follow the coloured signs from the car park where there’s also lots of info. This forest has half of all the UK’s species of trees which are marked by name posts. Well worth a visit

Great marketed routes, information boards and free parking.

Walking and mountain biking routes for all abilities.

Done routes may have to be closed from time to time by the forestry commission who are slowly improving it fir all. And turning it back to natural native trees only.

The mountain bike trails are awesome, a lot of climbing and would be better on am ebike, but still a good work out and rewarding on manual mtb. The parking is a good size, it's quite far off the beaten track but worth the effort.

Beautiful forest with a lovely little River running through the gorge. Plenty of parking , portaloos, and a children's park at the entrance . Mostly easy walking ,with some gradual slopes and harder off-road and steep climbs for the younger and fitter

Beautiful walks and a good mix of trails. Great location and the local pub is a must if in the area and its not too busy. Our first family visit was wonderful with some beautiful forest walks. Will definitely be back. One of the walks (Gorlech) is currently closed in sections due to maintenance. Clear and easy to read signage on all walks.

Really pretty little place, with forest walks, forest bike trails, and there is a portable toilet in the car park which was nice! Pretty town too!

Toilets in car park was so smelly made u feel sick .so why we only give 4 stars
But the riverside walk was beautiful .very easy to do .but had to be careful with the dog he wanted to get to the river , but it was a very steep drop..
Could walk in the river (before the car park and playground.).and a few picnic benches under the trees .lovely area for a picnic..or in our case to stay out the rain ..
