Fabulously restored and extremely interesting. Very knowledgeable guides and a hidden gem. Beautiful parkland and a lovely, atmospheric café with indoor and outdoor seating. Gorgeous plants to buy. Not to be missed!

Arrived too late to actually go inside and tour the building (3pm latest entry on a Sunday, £6.50 per adult, £3 for kids) but the grounds are lovely, there is a cafe (try the carrot cake), an antiques shop with some interesting curiosities, and a garden centre with plenty of flowers for sale.

What a fantastic place; the house, shops, gardens, cafe and staff....all of it.
The house is jam packed with period knick-knacks, which have been donated or bought especially to set each room off.
The house feels as though it's currently being lived in, the owners having just stepped out leaving you to wander and peruse their possessions.
Each room is different, each bedroom has a different style and colour, it's all very tasteful and seems to go on forever.
You can hire the rooms for functions, the gold room is available for weddings 💑
They've also made good use of the outdoor space, filling it with home grown plants 🪴 which you can buy.
It's £8 for adults to enter the house and the car park is pay and display, we paid £4.50 for 4hrs.
The cafe sells lovely home made food, I'd definitely recommend the butternut squash, spinach and goat's cheese lasagne 😋
Well worth a visit 💝

if you think there is nothing to do at an old hall think again.. included on site is a courtyard cafe, indoor cafe, small shop for gifts and ice creams, Antique centre, Garden Plant center, Petting Zoo, as well as self guided tours of the main house (excluding Saturdays), and if that were not enough, then there are the extensive gardens and woods to walk around, if you fancy taking your own food, then that is fine, and there are plenty of gardens to sit and enjoy. we went with the church, and a fantastic day was had, however i was disappointed that we went on a Saturday and the main hall was closed, however we have plans to return soon. i would recommend for a nice relaxing day out, where you can have good old fashioned family fun.

Beautiful Georgian house, really well dressed inside with knowledgeable and friendly staff everywhere. Enjoyed looking around and being able to get up close to exhibits and furniture. The gardens are also lovely to walk around, and very popular with dog walkers, but don’t miss the herbaceous border and kitchen garden, which are sadly overlooked by most visitors. The afternoon teas in the cafe catered for all dietary needs (vegan, gluten free, etc.) and were very tasty. Try the chocolate orange vegan cake! Will definitely return.

Beautiful Hall and grounds. Easy to find via sat nav and their parking charges are quite reasonable! Was wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly for the most part (couple of cobbles, grassy areas) but fairly flat for most places. Hall was closed for a wedding so didn't get to look inside but from the outside it was lovely and looked well kept! They had some lovely plants for sale as well as a cool antiques shop. Didn't visit the cafe so can't comment but they do have one. Super dog friendly, loads of places to walk and let them run around, they have plenty bins around which is handy! 100% worth a visit if you are in the area.

Went for the Snowdrop Walk. The event was very well staffed and we had a wonderful dog walk round the grounds. The cafe was excellent, especially the chocolate cake! Well worth another visit.
