Rock Cottage was last inhabited by one Mary Evans who vacated sometime in the mid 1900's. The cuttings in the sandstone along with a few bricks and a heap in the middle of the cutting are all that is left of the cottage but many of the fruit trees and hedges from the garden and smallholding are still growing. The cottage did not take up the entire cutting, as can be seen on photos (look these up on the internet), the large "cave" on the left was outside the cottage and to the front of the building. The cottage backed into the side of the hole it was built in on the right as you look at the large face. The chimney of the cottage is still evident also as a groove in the rock.

Lol.. not a B&B as Google would suggest. In fact there is nothing left of the cottage that used to be here.
