Really impressive ruins and so peaceful. Information boards are placed around the site explaining the history. I really wish there were facilities to get a drink, however it is definitely a place I would like to revisit

Lovely, peaceful site that is actually bigger than I expected. Good information boards, a nice site to walk around, it's just a real shame that the house is neglected. Surely EH could fix it up and make it part of this attraction?

Incredible ruins. The scale is unbelievable, we had no idea from Google that it would be as big and impressive! So many areas to look at, and awesome structural features! Highly recommend a visit

What a lovely place! These are certainly ruins but lovely nonetheless.
We happened to time it just right on a Saturday when the English Heritage volunteer was there and he walked us around a little and gave us some fantastic history of the place, the area, the time periods it was built & changed hands in. There's plenty of information panels too, so you could self guide to an extent, but nothing beats some in-depth knowledge.
There's a few spots to park cars, which I'm guessing get checked here & there (but we're Heritage members with a car park sticker, so it didn't come up).
There seems to be a bookshop but it was closed when we were there. No loos or tearoom (I'm imagining it would be a bit busier if it did have those), but equally a lovely area for a quiet walk.
Will certainly return at some point.

Lovely old ruins to walk around. Dog friendly. Free entry and lots of information boards around the site. 2 lovely ladies in the entrance where we paid for parking ( just £2) that were happy to answer any questions about the Abbey.

Really enjoyed this place! The sunshine surely helped. Road up is single track with a couple of passing places. There are two entrances from the carpark. The one to the right seems more regularly open. We, of course, went left and the one guy who was manning the place kindly unlocked the gate. They seem understaffed. Apparently non members have to pay for the carpark but I didn't see any signs. The site closes at the end of October until March, I think, so if you're planning on going, go soon!

Picturesque ruins in a very peaceful setting. Entry is free (on site parking £2, but free for English Heritage Members), and there are lots of information boards around the site providing history of the abbey. Visited on a Saturday in June and was lucky enough to see the English Heritage volunteer who was able to provide more information about the ruins. Well worth the short trip out of Tunbridge Wells to visit.

Beautiful place, peaceful and the architecture is amazing. Nice walk with my family.
You could have a nice picnic here (bring your own food and drink); not accessible for wheelchair and no public toilets.
