Grade II Listed historical well containing purportedly 'curative medicinal' waters, sited in a dilapidated 1930's Mock-Tudor building. Currently being renovated but the surroundings here hardly inviting nor evocative with an absence of explanatory contextualisation regarding the site.
Oh well.

Came across this by accident when visiting Barnet Hospital. Great heritage which should be restored and opened to public. Barnet is lucky to have such rich heritage.

Wow what can I say, used to live in Barnet where the well is situated, it has been restored and the restoration is great it is now run by volunteers and is open to the public need to contact the Barnet museum or council to find out when opening times, a must see if you are in the area

Only open once or twice a year courtesy of the great volunteers at Barnet Museum. Very interesting history and a short visit will suffice. A recent make-over restored original brickwork etc. Steep steps to the 'well' with water in. A little bit muddy and wet.

Lovely to visit and worth to see inside and out.

My grandmother lived near this, but I have no memory of it. No matter how badly restored it is or how little it's open, be grateful it's there and hasn't been demolished for another shopping centre. A sense of past is valuable as is water, though in many countries this has been forgotten.
