Statue of Princess Pocahontas

Gravesend is full of interesting stories. Relaxing environment and cleaned.

A Very significant place may not look of much importance at first glance. The shrine is available to view for the public but not the burial site.

Peaceful place to visit in Gravesend. Has some great historical significance especially if you are American.

I was so excited to come here and see Pocahontas (statue) but it looks so abandoned. Nobody taking care of the statue etc... I had fun though!

It feels a bit surreal to know that you are around the final resting place of a true historical Princess. I took my Daughter here after her growing interest in Disney Princesses. I wanted to show her that one of them was real and actually existed and tell her some of the history surrounding what she had done.
It is a little disappointing that all there was for her to see was the bronze statue but the plus side is that she's asking questions on cultural history, and has decided her 'idol' is not fictional but a real human being.

I'll be honest, there's technically not much to see. But if you appreciate UK/US history and disregard the Disney movie, there's a ton to research from a trip here. Quiet, peaceful. 11/10 would visit this spot again.

Beautiful statue and beautiful grounds, the sign outside the gate of the church was very informative and overall the statue is a amazing show of respect for this amazing young woman , I came here to see my childhood and adult obsession and pay respects and I wasn't displeased at all. It is definitely worth seeing if you enjoy reading about Pocahontas and her life.
