A very pretty place and the water was so clean. Tastes lovely to. Lots of bird life. Also felt a bit eerie sometimes. Not the easiest place to find and the roads close to it are very rutted and rough. Great place for walkers but we found it very slippery and muddy so wellies recommended.

It's such a stunning place to visit, very peaceful and relaxing.
The well is crystal clear now it has been dredged but the ground near the steps are so muddy it puts alot of people off. Could there possibly have a gravel or stone ground to walk on to get into the well so the mud isn't causing anymore issues.

A very nice and quiet place. I do not recommend it for families with young children, large hills. Old forest, lots of tiny streams. Convenient parking space. Access road in bad condition, drive carefully

Great spot for a cold dip. Lovely clean water, 10° in the middle of a hot August day. Hilly woodland with some rope swings too

A nice little secret gem! As well as the well, many walk ways and some mini waterfalls/streams. Not 5 stars due to the road you use to get here is very rough and uneven, use extra care accessing area. But a must see when visiting the forest fo Dean!

What a lovely historical find . The well has been cleared and the bottom can be seen . The water fresh and cold . Locals have put up rope swings for fun . Took a picnic and was awesome

Nice short walk from where we are staying on Jubilee Road. Lovely quite woodlands and great to see the well. Was a bit too cold to get in though 🥶.
