Travelled here recently as part of my law school field trip. Very historical with unique architecture, especially the writ in water! Very muddy however, so be prepared with wellies for the long adventure

A great historical English site that I got to visit on a beautiful sunny day. It's easy to get to by car or bus and the fields are really worth visiting. There's also a cafe on the premises with really good food and drinks

Nice walk along the river. There are a few different memorials that aren't too far apart to explore. Nice tea room with space to sit outside or inside. The tea room offers a good selection of cake and ice cream. There is also a small shop section which has a few national trust runnymead products for sale.
There are river cruises available to buy to be able to see a bit more from the river.

Wonderful and poignant memorials, staff are always friendly and helpful and car parking is plentiful. Do wish the grass paths were easier to walk on, they sometimes feel like walking on rocks

We cycled to Runnymede Park from West London so we enjoyed beautiful views of the river. Upon arrival, we struggled to find all the sites, but we left our bikes and walked across the beautiful meadows. From the three art pieces, we just saw the Jurors and the Haymaking and both were superb. We are certainly returning and this time we will take a picnic and sit by the river bank and enjoy the stunning views for more time.
There is a coffee shop as well that was closed by the time we made it.

This is a nice place. The Jurors is interesting. The Magna Carta is a good visit (also see the document at the British Library in London). The JFK memorial is nice. It’s a pleasant place to go on a nice day to see some history. The car park is paid (cash or app) and there was a friendly attendant there taking card payments when I visited (a Saturday). This is by the river too which is always nice. Worth a visit on a warm sunny British day.

A few miles outside of Egham is the national trust site that sits just off of the main road. You have the choice of two separate car parks on the left or right, both of which are free for national trust members. The car park on the left is next to the tea room, serving hot drinks and snacks at a reasonable price. The car park on the right is next to the river, On first inspection, there is a large field which you can walk around in, however, following the path to the back of it, will lead you further into the wooded area, which upon walking up the top of the hill via the steps accesses the John F Kennedy memorial. Further along at the bottom of the field is the Magna Carta which you can walk up to and read about some of the history. From here you either have the choice of walking further up the hill, or diverging off to the air force memorial which is a large building listing the names of all that served the air force. The walk to the air force memorial takes you via a hill with a decent view of the surrounding area. Walking further takes you via the wooded area with multiple pathways. Dotted along the route also were signs giving fascinating facts about local insect life. A nice area that I would recommend for those looking to do a short to medium walks

One of my favorites places for a good walk. If you have enough time feel free to explore the woods. They have done an amazing job with the public paths and you'll be able to walk up to the Air Force Memorial in less than 30 minutes. Walking down it will be much easier.
National Trust members have free parking.
