A wonderful lighthouse, well worth a visit by anyone wanting to experience the unusual and quirky. Accessible from the roadside, this lighthouse stands tall, made from bricks rather than metal. Great photos opportunity for travellers!

Great for windsurfing in the area but watch out for the tide and current as it goes very fast..

We were just sitting on a bench for a long time and enjoyed the sunshine... Really relaxing place. The tower looks much higher than the the photos showing... Beautiful, anyway! If you want a little time peace and quiet just visit it.

I pass this often but sat in my van and looking at it for a while as I had a brew, it's actually quite interesting and a bit of history. Wouldn't come specially to see it it but yes nice.

You can't go into this light. You can walk right round the outside, it's very slim, but still great to take photos of.

Lovely location/area. Start there and continue to the point and the lifeboat station, there is parking here, half way to the island and also at the island. Its worth spending the time exploring the area and walking around, lots to see!

Stunning views of the Lancashire and Cumbria coasts.

Wikipedia states this is not a Lighthouse. It's a Leading Light to guide shipping into the harbour. Thankfully there is a bench nearby to rest whilst admiring the view.
