Nice little place to visit for an hour on a Saturday afternoon (or any time really). Entrance is free but there's a £2 charge for the car park which you pay by phone.

There's a 10 minute walk to the villa from the car park and it's uphill, though the path is surfaced. There are a few information boards explaining what life might have been like at the villa in Roman times.

Access to the car park is via a narrow road and there aren't many passing places.

The villa is located in a beautiful tranquil spot, surrounded by rolling countryside. It is a 300m stroll to the villa which nestles into the hillside. There are only foundations remaining but they illustrate that the villa was once a sizeable building with kitchens, dining room, temple and baths etc
There are mosaics in the bath house but these are only accessed occasionally.
It's not worth making a special journey to see it but worth a visit if passing.
Allow about 30 minutes for a visit. Its a lovely place for a picnic.
There are no toilets or facilities.

Good clean site. On a hill side short up hill walk to the site entrance then down hill. Pay by SMS for the car park details on the sign at the car park

Its a very picturesque and interesting place to visit. Its free so I have no complaints but there isn't loads to do there. There are some gorgeous walks and views all around and if you like a bit of history, it's well worth stopping by for a look.

Unstaffed English Heritage site, don’t get fooled by the opening hours on Google (10-18) because it is an open air site and you can visit it whenever you want.
The Villa is a 5’ walk (uphill) from the parking.

It is a nice little walk up to a lovely meadow with the stone foundation of what was one a roman villa.
There are a few informative placards.
It is good for a short visit; not a place where you would spend the day or the afternoon

It’s not the best ruins but still good to see.
You won’t need to be there long so maybe plan something else as well.
Shame the building with the mosaic was closed as I think that is probably one of the best parts to see.
Take care on the roads there as well .. very rough.

Single track road to the Roman villa, take care and drive slowly as there are some nasty pot holes! Small car park and short walk to the villa. Beautiful views and very peaceful spot. Information boards dotted about giving good impression of Roman life.
