Keep an eye out for when it’s open as it’s definitely worth going! Welcomed by a very friendly lady who showed me round and told me about the history of DH Lawrence, a real hidden gem

Took my mum for a visit on June 6th for her birthday as she loves looking at houses like this as reminds her of her childhood. Lovely place to visit the tour guide was very lovely and informative. The gardens are kept immaculate by a lady gardener who we also met that day. Well done ladies keep up the good work you do.

I visited with my partner and was greeted by two lovely ladies. Carol guided us around the house and her knowledge was incredible. She knew so much and delivered the information in an interesting way. The house felt very old and still inkeeping with Lawrence times. The lady gardening too very devoted and their care and attention shows. Absolutely recommend a visit. Such a gem in Eastwood.

Breach House is a must-see for anyone interested in DHL—especially if you’ve read up on Sons and Lovers recently!—and Carol is a brilliant and v generous guide. Our tour was the highlight of our visit to Nottinghamshire.
