Great free museum and cafe with lovely gift shop too. Great staff. Added extras such as the books to read and children's area. free parking. We sat in the cafe and watched my kids on the park below..bonus!

Wanted to visit and walk 🚶‍♀️ on the Offa's Dyke path which runs the border between England 🇬🇧 and Wales, from Chepstow upto Prestatyn. We joined it at Knighton and managed to walk 🚶‍♂️ to the top of Panpunton Hill which was hard work but very enjoyable 😉. Knighton has a few pubs and we enjoyed a well urned drink at the George and Dragon Inn.

Very accommodating staff and extremely tasty cakes. Tea is served in a delightful tea pot along with a jug of milk and a top up of hot water. Also the artifacts atojnd yhd room are very informative regarding Offas Dyke.

Fascinating display of the trail, the environs, the route and the history. Well presented (and bi-lingual Welsh-English). Super friendly and helpful staff. Lovely cakes and tea etc. Don't miss it if you are in the area.

I visited this place back in September 2020 tom start a linear walk from Knighton to Kington (having got the bus out and walked back!!) on the Offas Dyke Path

it was closed and doing upgrades whilst they had the opportunity

I have been in a couple of years previously when it was open and full of interesting people, cards and history and purchases

Looking forward to going back when it is able to open and the current situation of covid has calmed down
