Wonderful views across the borders. Very windy. One day we'll borrow the key and climb to the top of the tower.

Lovely simple walk straight up. And fab views from the top. Again I found out you can get a key and go inside. I'd love to do this and go back. 😃

This is the view from my house of Peniel Heugh. It was built by an ancestor, Robert Cranston a builder from Jedburgh. This is his the second attempt the first famously blew down while under construction. The second however stands like a sentinel over the Borderlands. They dont make them like this anymore!

Surrounded in cow dung best avoid. Came home feet covered and stinking!

Wonderful view and a lovely walk to get to it. Beautiful sunset if you are lucky.

Steep walk up to the monument but worth it for the views at the top. It's a good picnic spot.
