Amazing experience for anyone wanting to learn more about WWI. Built in the casemates of a Victorian eta fort, we were shown around by two passionate enthusiasts who have amassed a huge collection of memorabilia, and who exhibited an encyclopedic knowledge of everything in there. It takes some findings, so follow the brown signs when Google Maps gets itself confused. Museum is free, but donations are welcomed and they have interesting swag to buy for kids and the like.

It's an amazing experience. We are lucky to have Charles, the owner, to give us a tour introducing all sorts of things and stories about WWI. Would recommend and hopefully visit again!

We‘ ve been here in the Afternoon. It was a great trip in WWI History with exellent Explanations. They love what they do and let you be Part of it. If you are interessted in warhistory and your are in Portsmouth don‘ miss it. I‘ s free entrance but don‘ t forget to feed the „Tirpitz-Pig“

We stopped off on our way to Southsea as the girls were studying WWI in history. Little did we know we would be treated to a personal tour by Charles, the passionate and extremely knowledgeable owner. Thank you so much, the girls were thrilled with the visit.

Visited the WW1 Remembrance Centre today. All I can say is WOW! What an amazing few hours, spent with an absolute treasure of a guide, who has clearly made it his life not only to indulge in his own interest but to pass his knowledge on to the people he meets. A truly truly wonderful experience had by us all and well worth the trip from Basingstoke.
