The Castle Stables, Drumtochty Castle - 4 Star - Luxury Self Catering Apartment

Quiet, clean and comfortable 2bdrm accommodation in the countryside. The apartment was very well appointed for cooking and relaxing. The adjoining grounds and castle are beautiful. Great grocery store in the nearby village but not much else happening there.

I just had the pleasure of staying here for two nights and there is only one way to describe this place. Awesome. From the very helpful host Teresa to the range of facilities she provides in this 2 bedroom condo. Although it is out of the way, this makes for all the more peace and tranquility we all look for to escape the city life.
I happened to be working in Aberdeen and I still made Altens in 35 minutes so not a bad commute should you work there. It takes 30 minutes to get across the city sometimes.
The bathroom had fine quality toiletries including toilet roll and good quality towels.
The kitchen is very well equipped with the added tea, coffee, fresh milk and condiments to help should you cook your own food.
The decor is quite traditional and the place was spotless and very well maintained.
There are nice woodland walks all around and I slept with the windows open so all you EVER hear are the birds and the stream running just yards from the door.
You WILL need a car and there is a small store in nearby Achenblae for foodstuffs, so if you want away from it all, this is the place to come.
Be careful if your SatNav wants to take you on the farm track road after the village of Auchenblae. Don`t, stay on the main road.

Trust me, I`ve stayed in places all over the world. You won`t be disappointed here.

What a magical place. St. Palldius church is amazing, the forest walk is enchanting and the accommodations are cozy and fun! Lots of board games and great old DVDS. We loved it!

Stayed here recently for a family wedding. We had everything we could ask for. Tastefully decorated spotlessly clean comfortable beds small modern kitchen stocked with some lovely local produce. We loved it thank you so much!

Great place to chill. Very quiet, comfortable beds good shower. In a beautiful setting. WiFi not reliable.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was lovely, very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The surrounding were beautiful and ever so peaceful. Highly recommended.

Stables accommodation is dated and in need of a good freshing up, paint , doors light fittings need changed , however location is fab and has so much potential to he a great location .
