Ysgubor Holiday Cottage

Very comfortable and warm. Well appointed place. Lovely owners. And the views... breathtaking.

A well equipped, comfortable cottage in a beautiful secluded spot with lovely views. The upstairs living area is the perfect place to sit and read on a rainy day and for watching the red kites and buzzards soaring above the valley in better weather.

A magical place to stay - in a very remote and beautiful part of Wales, on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains. We visited with three children aged 12, 10 and 3 in April 2022. The barn conversion is done to make the most of sensational views across the Ystwyth Valley, which you can enjoy throughout the house. The garden is filled with wildlife, especially birds, the roads are empty of cars, and there are numerous child-friendly walks from the front door through the beautiful surrounding countryside. A particular treat is the very clear night view of the constellations through the roof windows. The owners, Lee and John, made us feel very much at home. They put a great deal of work into making sure guests have everything they need, from a generous welcome basket through warm and comfortable beds to the best-equipped kitchen of any holiday home we've stayed in. If you are looking for peace, quiet, and nature, this is the perfect place to stay.

Just leaving this magical place and feeling like we needed another week there, at least, to make the most of the beautiful accommodation and stunning part of Wales. The cottage itself was incredibly well-stocked and fitted to a very high standard and had everything we needed for our two young children and 3 adults who love their food! Beds were also super comfortable and garden was a delight with amazing views and a hive of activity for local wildlife. Thank you John and Lee for making our stay so lovely.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage! Our family has stayed in a few cottages in the UK and this has to be our favourite! Beautiful finishes, amazing views (especially from the the top at night looking at the stars) and Lee has thought of everything around the cottage. Wifi super fast so the kids could still have their one-hour of tablet time! Loved our time here, our walks and excursions to local attractions, but the cottage itself holds such great memories for us, wish it had been longer!

Our 3rd visit and as good as previous ones.
Great place just feels like home, everything you need for a relaxing break, highly recommended.
