Great place to wind down, pay - per - hour (3£/car, 2£/pedestrian), camping, fast food, shop, playground... everything for nice day at lake.
Good quality food, reasonable priced with drinks/beer/cider/spirits aviable.
Toilets, showers free, lots of parking spaces and green areas to find your spot, BBQ allowed.
Friendly staff, happy to help, open kitchen let you see what they're cooking for you.
Overall very good experience, definitely will be back there.

Fantastic day out for the family - lovely open space. Take your bbqs, picnics, chairs, towels, blankets and balls. Toilet facilities are available and there is a cafe too. There are loads of trees if you want to stay in the shade or you can take your umbrellas/tents. Well worth visiting. Last entry is 5.30pm & parking is £3 per hour.

second visit to the campsite. Staff are good, wash facilities are good and cleaned regularly. Nice open spaces, swimming lake, fishing lake. You can BBQ but not directly on the ground. some electric hook ups available. Museum close by but lots of water sports on site as well as cafe, shop, mini golf and more. We had a great time, fishing seemed ok. caught one and lost one fishing luncheon meat towards middle of lake at back end but floating bait on a hot day may be a good option. One draw back - the wasps, then more wasps then another bucket load......

Nice place to visit for a family day out. Relatively small place but alot going on. Man made beach which is nice and refreshing on a nice summer day. Boat trips but needs to be booked before hand as they are normally sold out for the day. Camp sites for a night stay too. Designated areas for BBQ. Parking is £2 per hour on a weekday and £3 per hour on the weekends, cash and card payments available on site. Plenty of parking available even on a busy day so no need to worry about that. Refreshments/snack shop on site.

Fantastic place to go to get the kids some exercise, fresh air and fun. They did Sailing, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. Jeremy looked after them and was fantastic. Don't go there for a beach!! You will be disappointed. Amazing otherwise though.

Loved it here, man made beach, pedalos, cafe, ice cream, candyfloss, shop to get beach and fun items at.
For a day out it's fabulous, we didn't camp or caravan but are very interested to in the future.
Only downside was I felt the parking was a bit pricey (which you don't pay for when stopping over night).

This is an okay place to visit but have only given it 3 stars as we were disappointed by the lagoon. The image on the website makes it look massive but in reality it was pretty small and the actual beach area also pretty small. It was a crowded day so couldn't get near. Don't get me wrong, small kids were having a blast while their parents looked on but we were underwhelmed.
The lake itself is lovely and a stroll around it was pleasant (watch out for duck and dog poo though).
I can see how as a holiday park a family with young kids could enjoy some time based here but as a day visitor... Mmmm.... We only stayed 1.5 hours and that cost us £6 in parking!!!
Would I go again, no. Would I recommend to a family to camp, probably.

A beautiful place with great fun rides, ample parking n barbeque area. Not exactly a beach but a great attempt for artificial beach. Kids can get in the water and have wonderful time. Nice 1 day family trip place
