Lovely, tranquil, clean and handy for a short boat trip. Very nice man runs the camp site. A great restaurant in walking distance from the site. Nice walks along the Canal.

A lovely small camping and campervan site. Very well maintained and looked after by the very friendly and attentive owners. Very nice showers and very clean toilets too. Right next to the site there's a beautiful clean canal to for dipping your toes in or canoe gently along and maybe snorkeling. It also offers a calm and beautiful walking, running or bike trail, flat enough to roll a pram without issues. The site is very close to a highway road but to be honest it wasn't an issue as the noise from cars was practically unnoticeable. The pitches for camping vehicles are really good, clean shingle next to a perfect grass pitch, most pitches even have their own long electric cable provided and levelling blocks. Located in a great linking point to the Yorkshire Dales and the lakes too, with Fell foot in Windermere just 16 minutes away from site. You can shop at Kendal, only half hour away or even closer at the pretty market town of Milnthorpe with quality takeaways and restaurants. Also right opposite on the other side of the road, there is a pub and for people with LPG vehicles there is a Texaco 1 minute away that has LPG but is not on the general signage but it is there. We extended our stay for two extra nights as the weather was fabulous, the owner, Paul, was great to accommodate us with such busy schedule so we got to enjoy another two days. The fees for staying were very reasonable and straightforward, no nonsense. We will be coming back again, no doubt. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful site. Our first time in motor home and Paul was so welcoming and helpful. We just chilled out for 3 days with our spaniel Milo who loved the canal walks and swimming in the nearby stream. Toilet block spotlessly clean only 20 pence to use showers with added toiletries if you wanted to use them. The whole experience has certainly turned our heads around regarding holidaying in the UK thanks Paul we will see you again soon

Great place to stay. Lovely surroundings and great to explore with my dog. Paul the owner was super helpful on my arrival.
20p for 3 minutes in shower is pretty good in my opinion. The showers were lovely and warm and clean. Nothing negative to say about Little Acre. I would definitely recommend it and would stay again.

From the moment we booked our long weekend away to the moment we left, hassle free experience. I particularly liked the fact that we knew which pitch we were allocated on booking which made it so much easier when we arrived to get settled in. Now Paul the owner came over to greet us shortly after we arrived, very friendly and with a nothing too much trouble attitude which was lovely. Shower/toilet block nice and clean with added little touches in too. Our dog loved the canal walks and all the fuss he got when meeting others with or without dogs! Dog biscuits, fresh water and poo bags were a nice little touch outside the camp office. The Crooklands Hotel 5 mins walk away served delicious food and were very dog friendly, again dog biscuits and fresh water were supplied. All in all a lovely quite and peaceful time had by all! Thank you Paul & Sarah
