Otterington Park

Liked: Everything! We stayed in a pod, as avid campers we thought for one night why not try something that doesn’t take ages ages to put up and take down. It was an empty shell inside with a light, electricity & a heater. Perfect for us! We took all our camping gear minus the tent!
A gorgeous little site with amazing facilities to suit all ages. Two fantastic play areas and a football field. A lovely little walk around the site and a pond. THE cleanest toilet and shower block we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a few!) and a great on site shop for all your essentials. So peaceful and well maintained

Disliked: Nothing at all! Can’t wait to return!

Liked: Have been at Otterington Park a few times now. Always helpful and courteous staff. The onsite shop has the necessary things and are very reasonably priced. Onsite amenities are cleaned regularly and look new. Kids did really enjoy the play area and smooth roads around compounds (really nice for scooters and cycling).
Pitches are clean and level. We normally stay at the ones with electric and water outlets.
As parents, we enjoyed the walks in the wooded area and around the ponds where you can fish or just admire the beauty.
Wild bunnies add an overall charm to the place as well.
Perfect for a little holiday

Disliked: The only two things that were a bit bothersome, but no fault of the park, are:
- Close proximity to the railway, with some trains passing during the night (although, tend to get used to them pretty quickly).
- RAF fighter jet training path is above, and as fascinating as they look, they can be quite loud.

Nothing else to fault on

Liked: The pitches are very substantial, a huge gravel pitch for the caravan & awning plus a lovely grass pitch to use as outside space. The shower blocks are spotless, the children seemed to ne enjoying the play park. Site is secure with barrier entry, can't fault it at all. Staff very friendly, even a field for the dogs to run around and explore. The lake is picturesque, nice walk through woodlands to get to it. We had a very enjoyable weekend and will definitely return.

Liked: 10 out of 10 spotless - grounds & facilities. Staff very friendly & helpful. A very well thought out caravan park.
Pitch size was huge plenty of space for 7 meter caravan awning & 4x4. Water point as well as electrics.
Showers & toilets have plenty of room & a dressing area.
Plenty of space & parks for children.
Close to Thirsk and Northallerton-Can't fault it, will be returning soon.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Very well maintained and welcoming. Spotless Toilets and showers.
Fishing lake was adequate for a days pleasure fishing, but would benefit from stocking with a few small carp!

Disliked: Our pitch was directly next to the childrens play area, but although a little noisy, at times, they all played nicely together.

Liked: The toilets and showers were nipping clean. The pitches were spacious. Quiet site. Trains you could hardly hear. There was a pub within walking distance that was nice. We don't have young kids but the play park, footie area looked fab for kids. Nice fishing lake lovely area and a great dog exercise area.

Disliked: No fire pits allowed

Liked: Everything, the pitches are very spacious, the site is so well looked after. Showers and toilets were amazing and very clean. Warden was lovely and friendly and very helpful. Lovely walks. 100% brilliant site. Thank you. Kind regards Carol Pete and Ellie the cat.

Liked: Lovely pitches and well maintained site. Toilet blocks brilliant and staff very helpful. Lovely areas for kids to play, 2 parks and a football field and great dog exercise field. Fishing pond ok we had a few small fish out. 1 pub within walking distance.

Disliked: Nothing in the local area to walk to.
