Rhuallt Country Park

Liked: A lovely site. Beautifully clean and very tidy. The showers were brilliant and the toilet block clean. We used the laundry room once which was clean and tidy. The warden was so helpful and friendly and the restaurant allowed us to take our dog in with us and the food is absolutely top rate. Not too far away from various attractions one of which is Gwrych Castle which we loved walking around. Wi-Fi is free and very good.A wonderful site that we would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet pleasant stay.

Toilet and shower block very new and well kept.
Warden very friendly and explained happy hour(s) in the hotel bar.
We booked our evening meal in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were pitch 5 (close to road) but never heard the road.
Great location. 10 minutes from Rhuddlan Castle (£4.60 entry) Similar distance from Dyserth Castle. Not far from Rhyl and other popular areas.

Disliked: Adult only. We have a 10 month old so would love to be able to return with him. Although it did make for a lovely quiet site.

Liked: The pitch was near trees, essential for shelter during the very hot spell. Fully serviced, electricity, water, waste. Elsan disposal was very close. Washing up facilities were great, showers and toilets were clean and plentiful. Distant views of countryside added to the feelgood factor. The proximity of a spa (we didn't use) and restaurant ( excellent, used twice) helped to make this a lovely peaceful stay.

Disliked: The showers were great, but only one setting - hot. During the really hot spell, a cooler setting would have been welcome.

There was WiFi, but it's operation depended on closeness to the main aerial. Conversely, phone and data signal were great.

Liked: Clean toilet facilities.

We didn't use spa facilities, as £20pp for use of the pool for 2 hours.
We didn't use bar/restaurant, but it seemed very popular - always cars outside.

Disliked: WIFI just wouldn't connect - wasn't a problem for us, as we had good 4G.

Stayed with our tourer for 6 days. Great size pitches. Immaculately clean showers and toilets. The whole site was well kept. Adult only site so very quiet and peaceful and dog friendly. Perfect location for seeing North Wales. We will be back.

Liked: Cleanliness of the site. Nice bar and restaurant and option of Spa facilities although we didn’t use them. Good access to routes to tourist attractions

Disliked: Maintenance of site could have been better. Pitch light didn’t work and the Elsan hose pipe sprayed water everywhere. Showers cold in male block

Liked: The site is spotlessly clean in a perfect locations with stunning views. The Shower/Toilet block is one of the best that we have come across.

The Bar and Restaurant are very welcoming with a really good atmosphere.

We will certainly come here again.
