Just had a prospecting call from Everest and as soon as I said that I wouldn't be looking at buying anything yet the caller hung up on me straight away! How rude!
Everest, these are the small things that will loose you a lot of customers!
It doesn't cost anything to be polite!!

Repeating my trust pilot review here.

Truly abysmal firm. Faulty lock which they’ve now ignored.

I’m rewriting my original review in bullet proof form, so it’s easier to see the constant failings over a timeline with easy digestible points on the inadequacies, unprofessional attitude and shameful failings.

A truly abysmal firm, with what feels like many untrue ‘positive’ reviews that has made them seem more popular than they surely can be?

DO NOT USE OR TRUST EVEREST.

* 19th March 21’ - Sales visit
* 6th April 21’ - Survey, waited in all day for rushed visit (this would come to bite…)
* 18th May 21’ - install day. Took day off work. They cancelled due to overrunning work less than 24 hours before. No real reason. No new date. No reply to my messages (hard to speak to a human)
* June 1st 21’ - new date set (after me chasing) Took day off work as was told it would be 4 hours of work. They cancelled that morning, 15 minutes after they were meant to arrive. Due to overrunning. Was promised they would arrive the next day.
* June 2nd 21’ - door installed. Took 8 hours. Complaints from the team all day that the survey was incorrect. That they had incorrect dimensions and this was a bigger job than planned.
* - I complained online and the responses were useless, but largely went without reply. Lots of going around the houses without speaking to the same person.
* - Front key couldn’t be removed from front door, had to go to bed with key in the door externally! Nobody to speak to as the install team finished so late.
* - I was given just £50 for inconvenience
* September 15th 21’ - after noticing the lock was a little odd that day, I get locked into my house - for 3 hours. The handle doesn’t budge. It wasn’t even locked. The locking mechanism failed and locked me in. I’m a first floor flat, only way in and out is my front door. Or I jump from first floor. Major fire hazard and concern. It was after hours and the online message team said to call tomorrow. LOL! They would only pay £100 for locksmith. It cost me £280 and they had to come into my house through first floor window.
* September 16th 21’ - was called fist thing and promised this would be followed up, it wasn’t.
* Now I chase for the next two weeks for resolve, follow up visit, compensation and confirmation of full refund.
* 30th September 21’ - only after I chased every day did I get confirmation I would get full £280 back. Was promised email back to confirm. This didn’t happen - so I followed up. Was told I’d get a cheque. Haha! We are 2021.
Door is having more issues, despite new lock. Reported this
* October 6th 21’ - chased again. the reply - “I am not 100% sure on the timescale on raising this cheque” and still no engineer date.
* October 8th - informed cheque ‘raised’ (insert shrug emoji) but still no engineer date to review the door
* Cheque arrives Friday 15th October - 1 full month after issue

Summary

* Some of the poor reviews on trustpilot , the replies when they say they’ll investigate - it’s lip service.
* Terrible communication between initial survey and installers
* Average customer service due to poor internal communications
* Substandard work due to failings of survey team
* Causes untold stress for an expensive fee
* Impossible to speak to a human and hard to get a genuine reply
* Unsympathetic local branch team (I was informed he’s really busy?!)
* Worst decision and investment I’ve ever made. Truly shocking on all levels, from all teams.
* Keep an eye on Watchdog, they’ll no doubt appear soon
