With there being such an array of paint products available for differing applications, the amateur and occasional home decorator such as I am can find himself in a confusing maze of specifications. The people at BDS demonstrated incredible patience and a generosity in sharing knowledge that proved most valuable - this, despite my leaving the shop with perhaps no more than a litre of gloss and two sheets of abrasive paper!

Excellent customer service. Thank you.

Dear Sirs
Having dealt with BDS of Bridgend for 20 years plus, as a retail customer having spent upwards of 2500 pounds, I have been appalled at my treatment during my last two visits. The first time I just went in for two cans of Dulux bathroom paint and was told to go to B & Q and that they 'couldn't help'. The second time I asked for a can of Sadolin finish for an engineered oak door and was told, in an insulting and embarrassing way that I had made the wrong purchase, the doors were no good and the guy would not sell me the product! A flat refusal!
What is going on? If BDS doesn't want retail business and can't be polite, I will continue to use Jewsons and Howdens who are both very helpful. I just don't want the awful customer service that BDS has offered on the last two occasions

The staff are friendly and very helpful. Maybe not the most pc comment to make about pregnancy, maybe he was going to offer to help you carry whatever you bought? I'd personally rather have someone smiling than the miserable gits at b&q. Yes it's 2018, maybe time to lighten up. Men can't do right by self righteous women anymore.

I didn't get round to buying paint because I was pretty offended by the guy behind the desk. He asked me if I was pregnant. I'm not. I just happened to be wearing a baggy dress that day. He sort of apologised but it made me feel very uncomfortable. It's 2018 - how about we don't comment on people's bodies or pregnancy which could be quite an emotive issue for many. I won't be buying anything from there.

Some prices were a little cheaper than BQ but definitely cheaper than homebase. Staff very courteous + not breathing down your neck to buy "something"... Some rather nice albums of wall paper + assortments of paint with a customer service to mix paint to match on site. Good quality + reasonable prices. Ordered paint + its well worth the extra cost.

The two gentlemen who served me today went over and above my expectations, wish more companies offered the excellent customer service I received from them, you were both great, thank you!

Not very happy people working there by the sound of them. Shop assistants didn't have a very happy sounding manner on the phone, could be a bit brighter! Happy with the product I bought but bit off putting. Sorry!
