Charlies Stores Ltd Aberystwyth (Cambrian Place)

This is a small Charlie's, the first on Aberystwyth. It's an ironmonger, outdoor clothes (bought all my Weird Fish jumpers here & three waxed jackets over the years, and a pair of Doc Martens), wool, cooking, shoes, gardening, building and motoring, decorating. If it ain't here, try Liberty's of London.
The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Sure, there's a bigger Charlie's a mile away, but for a more personal and helpful service, I come here.

GO-ORD BLIMEY! whatever happened to little Charlie's ? I paid a visit just recently and to my amazement I found the welcome mat had disappeared. Along with the warm and friendly reception of the staff. I didn't even get me cup of tea and biscuit. 😟 I had to make enquiries on 4or5 different items all diy. Which was like reliving that very famous sketch by the "TWO RONNIE'S" and the "FOUR CANDLES" what an experience😕 go-ord blimey!. And I missed me bus😲 if this is so called progress thay can keep it.☹

Smaller version of the out of town store, but well stocked nonetheless.

Very friendly staff made for a pleasant shopping experience.

Was told by a friend to visit any Carlies I came near, yes, they really do seem to stock everything!

Great store! I've used it for years including its website and delivery service. I visited the little town store and as usual it saved the show, I needed a shopping trolley, oh my, the price was probably the best in the UK. The staff were brilliant as always! I love their town shop it's so good for people who don't drive!

Popped in here to get cat flea spray usually buy some from pets at home. But as I was browsing for a couple of other things I saw the cans on the shelf. I thought to myself um 3.99 a can may not be very good. Boy was I wrong this stuff is brilliant and you can buy 3 cans for the price I normally pay. The cats are bringing them into the house despite treating them to. So decided to give the product a chance glad I did. No more ankle biters in the house and the cats are happy to. Love Charlie's stores anyway so I go to the stores often. Great friendly staff and very helpful to.
