Highly recommend Penycoed Riding Stables. Not just for lessons, hacking and pony days, but also for the wider local horse owner community. Recent storms resulted in high level of flooding where my own and neighbours horses would have been swimming during the night. George and Jim where massively accommodating welcoming our horses up the hill to safety. Penycoed is more than the local equestrian centre, it’s a massive asset locally, role modelling genuine community spirit. Good deeds are never forgotten - thank you x

We had a a fantastic ride out for my 40th birthday. The staff were great, so friendly. Best way to spend an afternoon! They accommodated all 11 of us, in one large group. Our experience was limited but staff and horses were brilliant for us. The kids loved trotting along on their own horse. Thank you Penycoed!!!!!

Had a short break in the Hazel log cabin we had a great time, chilling, sitting back watching the world go by, didn't go horse riding but loved watching the kids having fun doing it(and some adults😄)the cabin was cosy and had all you needed for self catering.First experience of a hot tub it was OK,not really my thing. All in all a good time was had.

Our daughter has been having lessons at Penycoed as well as volunteering. She has made enormous progress in a short time. Instructors have been absolutely brilliant. There's a lovely, family friendly atmosphere which makes Penycoed a great place.

Well serviced and comfortable accommodation.
Amazing shower!!
Lovely family run business. Good bunch of friendly yard hands too.
Excellent riding and hacking.
Good selection of horses for a range of abilities.
Walks straight out of the yard into nature reserves.

I booked a 30 min lesson and an hour hack for me and my son who is 6. Both being complete novices I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the staff made us feel completely welcome and at ease with lots of patience for us both. My son thoroughly enjoyed it and we both learned way more than I thought we would in a short time. I would definitely recommend Penycoed Riding Centre and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. We will be going back without a doubt.
