Coombe Stables Ltd - Horse riding in the New Forest

We visited on my birthday for a private hack and the experience couldn’t of been any better.

Amazing people that couldn’t be any more helpful and informative. The member of staff the took us out was very interactive which made the whole experience 100 times better. We will definitely be back when we next visit the New Forest.

Took my two daughters (6/9) for a gentle ride out. Staff were incredibly welcoming (greeted me by my name, and knew girls names - really nice touch), and ride itself was very enjoyable. Horses seemed very well cared for and addition of a family of pigs in the yard was a bonus!
Booking could have been a little easier - took a few goes to get through by phone. Online booking would be great…

Wow! What an absolutely lovely time we had on a Forest Walking Hack at Coombe Stables. We were greeted by our names by the very friendly and welcoming Geoff. Our reputation obviously preceded us 😀

Geoff explained to us how it all worked and before we knew it we were saddled up and ready to go.

Joe was our guide and he was absolutely superb. Chatting to us he put us at our ease and the hour just flew by. It’s true what they say that time flies by when you’re having fun. The two horses we were paired with Sugar Babe and Queenie were perfect. They were beautiful to look at and so lovely and calm.

These days receiving such good customer care and being treated so well is pretty unusual so a big thank you to everyone and we will be back 💥

What a great experience! We came for a guided walk with my daughter's and their aunt, and the hour flew by! Joe and the rest of the team were lovely, all so kind and chatting all the way round. We really felt welcome, and it was so smoothly run too. A great way to see a little of the countryside, and we were welcome to follow along on a walk too. It's such a lovely memory for all of us, and definitely worth a visit if you're staying locally.

Horse riding price was very reasonable.
All staff are extremely friendly and warm.
They were very professing and informative about the hoses and surrounding areas.
My horse was called Jeffro, he was lovely and made my first horse riding experience a less nervous and a great memorable one.
The unexpected relaxing ride out of the stables in convoy was enjoyable.
The weather and landscapes was epic!

What a lovely day we had in the New Forest. The service was great and the professionalism was excellent. Geoff was a great host and got our group out on some well matched horses. The ride route was excellent, long enough for our kids and took in some great sights of the Forest.

We took 2 girls age 10 here today for a birthday treat and I have to say, it was absolutely lovely. We felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Ian was excellent with the girls, chatting to them and making them laugh. The horses and ponies were beautiful and very well behaved and the location across the forest was stunning 🤩

We were on an hour long hack, the kids (Aged 4,4 and 6) really enjoyed it. The team at Coombe Stables were lovely and it was nice to be allowed accompany the hack on foot. Overall great experience.
