I urge anyone to find another hospital my sister had kidney failure she had to wait 8 hours on a chair reception lady on a and e was rude and made up stuff and they said they could not gurantee when a ct scan would be done today m. There was also a man in the observation area that had been there since the day before waiting for hospital bed completely unacceptable staff nurses don’t care about their patients or illness avoid this hospital at all costs if you can so disappointed and disorganised. I am having to possible now take her to another hospital and may have to pay private due to the delays in vital treatments my sister requires very negligent of hospital.

My son hurt himself during football. I was concerned about a possible fracture, so decided to take him to A&E at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. Every single staff member was so friendly and professional from the moment we stepped into the hospital until the moment we left. The nurse who undertook the initial assessment, the lovely receptionist, the children's A&E staff and the Radiographer were all to help and listen. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes! We are beyond grateful 🙏🏽 Thank you #NHS

A continuous chest infection Arrived in ambulance and was seen to quickly but sent home twice after antibiotics etc because no bed available. Went in by ambulance Monday with continued chest infection Fungal pneumonia. 14 hours in waiting room bringing up phlegm and vomiting. Got told no beds available even though I was booked in for one on respiratory ward. Had options to go home and restart rigmarole again the next. I went home! How can they expect someone who’s ill to sit in a chair and sleep after being in one for 14 hours already

Thank you to all the wonder staff, especially the mid-wife and pediatrician teams who helped deliver our son. Incredible people who really helped us through the process with endless compassion. We are very lucky to have you. Thank you!

I had my first baby 1 week and 1 day ago via Emergency C section and all we can think about how amazing, reassuring,
supportive and just endless care they gave. We couldn’t thank them enough!! Specially on the delivery suite and right towards the end midwife Allie. Jan, Sam the anaesthetist, doctors and midwife’s. Truly were amazing!

A nurse was incredibly cruel to my mum today. She withheld morphine from her which she explained ‘if your husband didn’t have an attitude you could have had some’ She also admitted to keeping her waiting longer because of this. She was there for 12 hours. Where is the duty of care?. He was simply trying to explain that she couldn’t take anything orally because of the pain in her mouth and they needed to try another method. The nurse continued to be rude and my mum explained she was intimidating her, to which she laughed at her with another colleague. I understand this job is hard and demanding and I respect that, but this behaviour is unacceptable. No one deserves to be treated like this.

I had surgery here in 2018 for a dislocated shoulder. I had a arthroscopic stabilisation of the right shoulder and was told after operation when seeing the specialist that there had been a complication but never elaborated what it was.

Since October 2020 my GP has been doing investigations to and they have discovered two 12mm round holes in my bicep tendon that where not present in 2018 before operation, since then the hospital has tried to cover it and told me there was no surgical procedure that could be performed to fox the problems other than a cortisone injection, they also tried to tell me and convince me that it was a genetic defect I have had since birth which the MRI in 2018 confirms my bicep was preserved from initial injury that warranted the operation.

I have been through two specialist one of which was a second opinion and this specialist said he would operate but needed to get history from 2018 and 2021, which we did this and discovered that the hospital was lying and found that I still had a pectoral tear plus bone cysts that they never mentioned, I then went to a professor and he believes the holes in bicep where surgically done.
I also had a x naval medic on submarines review the reports and images as he level 6 qualified in medical practice and he said same thing and now I am with one the best orthopaedic specialist in the country if not on the planet and he has confirmed the holes in bicep have been surgically caused via the surgeon at William Harvey Hospital in 2018 and confirmed I have osteoarthritis which if it was a genetic defect I would of had osteoarthritis of my shoulder come the age of 4-5 and that I also have tendinitis of pectoral and bicep and the GP also believe that electrical equipment was used on me because I had a scabby burn mark appear above my left ankle and sticky residue on inside left rib cage
.
He has also concluded that he can fix all of the problems that I now have which will involve a permanently disfigured bicep tendon for rest of my life but also concludes that the specialist at the hospital was lying when they said there was no surgical procedures they could offer to fix all of this and rules out there genetic claims.

I think it an absolute disgrace on the hospital behalf on how they have dealt with the matter and also tried to cover it up, I would not trust this hospital as far as I could throw them now

A few majority of nurses have a don't care attitude towards patients. Patients are not being treated just moved about hospital then sent home because "they need the beds", despite being very ill then back in hospital within days! Witnessed several shocking things, patients being mocked by nurses, degraded, left with no food/drink for HOURS. Absolute shambles and told so many contradictory things. have complained but even that's not being taken seriously. It's not the patients fault the hospital is so stretched, a little care and compassion cost nothing but there is none.
