Chelsfield Park Hospital

Went in for hip replacement under NHS - femur was fractured during surgery but only found in xray next day . Surgeon was away at his London clinic and when he arrived around 6.30pm informed me I would be going to the PRUH to have further surgery to repair the break. Have been left with over 1inch leg length difference and in pain. Wrote to Chelsfield and received back non explanatory and non committal text book replies. Still do not understand what happened or why it happened.
Day nurse was really good and explained to my son what was happening.

I wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Chelsfield hospital. Everyone made me feel comfortable and at ease from the moment I entered the hospital.

Upon my visit, I met with Mr Kasem to review a lump in my breast. I was extremely nervous, but he made me feel calm through the appointment and went through all the details. I have seen several consultants in the past, but Mr Kasem was by far the best and I would highly recommend. He was extremely professional, thorough and compassionate.

I would also like to thank all the nurses, as I thought the lump may be the worst case scenario. They were attentive and couldn't be more supportive or helpful.

This hospital gets 5 out of 5 stars. The staff are the best of the best and the level of service is exceptional.

Recently I have visited Chelsfield Park hospital to see Dr Sandy flann. I’m a self paying patient and have had amazing service from Sandy Flann who has seen me very quickly in a very nice hospital setting. I’ve been to the hospital before and found that the service provided is always wonderful from all of the hospital staff and the hospital feels more like a hotel as you feel more at ease. I’d like to thank all of the staff for being so attentive my needs and always going above and beyond.

From the polite and helpful reception staff, the kind and supportive pre assessment staff, and all the surgical staff have been excellent and full of empathy while I undergo back surgery. Must mention Ann on surgical ward for her total support and help after my operation and cannot fail to recognise the special guy at the head, Mr Sharr. He has been consistently helpful and has my eternal thanks! Chelsfield Hospital is a small place with a big heart. Good food/menu choices are equal to many hotels and served by great people, all of them supportive and help through the many choices. Hope to go home soon but have fond memories of the staff here.

2 weeks post surgery and I’m amazed at how well my surgery went and I’m super excited with results.
Mr Kasem you really are a master of your craft and your team have been nothing but professional, caring and super friendly as have all of the staff at The Chelsfield Hospital.
I would definitely recommend Mr Kasem if you’re looking for a breast reduction as for me, the whole process has been flawless from start, up until now and I look and most importantly feel amazing just after 2 weeks.

My bedroom was huge, looking over the park.
It’s ashamed I could not stay overnight as apparently my private insurance would not cover for it as I did not feel ready to go home on the same day of my gallbladder removal but I suppose insurances are here to make money and not always looking after the best care for their customers!

Everyone at Chelsfield Park Hospital has been amazing. I’ve been very well cared for and everyone I met has made me feel safe and in the best of hands. Names are I remember are Mary , Ellen, Peter, Jill, Laura, Ola, Victoria and the very lovely Mr Sharr and Dr Jones. I can’t thank them enough for my stay. The food is delicious and plentiful and always served with a smile. The room is warm clean and very comfy. I would highly recommend them. Thank you everyone so much.

The medical care I received at Chelsfield Park was first class but the administration is questionable.
On 28th November I was quoted £ 1,933.50 for my procedure by my surgeons secretary and I accepted. The scheduled surgery date was 7th December. On 6th December I received an email from the hospital quoting me £ 2,352.00. I queried this and on the morning of the day of the surgery I received another email from the hospital quoting me £ 2,233.40. Not an ideal situation but I had little choice but to go ahead. It left me feeling that I had been taken advantage of at the last minute.
I have visited Chelsfield Park many times but one thing that is now strikingly obvious is that the parking facilites need expanding. Parking has become a real problem.
The medical staff are excellent.
Update. I have been contacted by the hospital and an explanation has been given as to how the charges applied which were related to the need for the surgery to be conducted in Theatre and not in a small procedures room. In the circumstanes and taking into account the level of care I received I am satisfied.
