My main frustrations was with the car park. I'd driven up 70 odd miles from Portsmouth managed to make good time in the traffic to get there early for the appointment then spent almost 30 minutes trying to find a parking place. I could only park in the bays with the white lines as all of the yellow lined bays were for staff. I did several laps of the ”Main Car Park" stalking unsuspecting motorists hoping they were leaving. As they weren't I reluctantly tried some off street parking and then walking the rest of the way but understandably all of the streets nearby are parking permit only. The parking machine was pay and display and needed either coins, card, or contactless payment in advance and then you guess how long you think you're going to be. So in summary Doctor Good Parking Bad.
Bravo to this place. I didn't think places like this really existed. They should be very proud to be a part of this team that works incredibly hard. Even their agency staff are of the same general quality. That being excellent or even above if there is such a rating. I stayed here for X weeks and X Days in 2022 and would highly recommended these guys if your in need of the best of the best not just in England. But probably the world.
As time has gone by and I have spent more days and nights here I have come across a minor issue with nurses being delayed with providing pain medication and having to wait for up to an hour to receive said pain relief. This is most prevelant with the night staff but I did not feel the need to give bad reviews as the worry about receiving a bad review was more then enough to spark a noticed change the two times this happened in the time I was here. No hospital is perfect and for me to have only experienced this issue twice is still incredibly impressive. I would still rate this hospital it's staff and care as exceptional. There are many reasons why these nurses could of been delayed and they did get me my pain relief within an hour and fifteen minutes of waking me to do observations. Overall this is still an incredibly good hospital the NHS should be proud of.
THANK YOU.
