Tenby Cottage Hospital

I tripped and damaged my knee while strolling on a beach. Unable to walk I realised I needed treatment. I wasn't sure if it was a journey to Withybush General hospital in Haverfordwest or Tenby Cottage Hospital. I opted for Tenby Cottage Hospital and I am pleased I did for the following reasons.
1 ) Friendly staff
2) A very short waiting time.
3) An hour long careful and expert treatment and advice, including x-rays and then fitted with a knee brace.
4) A follow up appointment with a specialist a in Withybush hospital.

I really appreciate the level of care I was given. A perfect example of how the NHS should be.

I had been visiting Tenby area staying in my caravan. Today I woke with a severe swelling on my foot. I thought little of it but when I visited Tenby I thought that I would call into a chemist to get some antiseptic cream. The Pharmacist in Boots recommended that I ought to call into the “walk in centre” at Tenby cottage hospital which I did. I was seen by a really nice Nurse who prescribed antibiotics and told me to rest up. Fabulous service because at home I cannot even get through to my surgery let alone “walk in” . Well done to all those at Tenby Walk In Centre especially the Nursing sister who saw me

I injured my toe whilst on holiday and visited the nurse led walk in unit and on the following day the podiatry clinic. On both occasions I was treated with the utmost care, professionalism and expertise. Thank you to the wonderful staff. Catherine Hartley

visited minor injuries on a monday morning. the staff were friendly, efficient and professional. i had 2 consultations and an x ray within 2.5-3 hours. thank you for your care. we are lucky to have you!

Excellent service phone answered immediately to arrange a visit .Nurse attentive above and beyond duty.

I have just spent the last 2 1/2 hours with the wonderful nurses who work in this hospital ...

I am actually down Tenby on holiday, and was in alot of pain with my toe so decided to call in at this hospital .
Tenby you are so lucky you have a
fantastic service like this ..right on your doorstep..we dont have anything like this back home, only the basic a and e hospitals where you have to wait up to 8 hours, on a good day ..so for me to just call in, fill in a form, see 2 nurses, have 2 xrays, have a spike fitted, and a shoe in 2 1/2 hours ...what a service..so for all you moaners who think 2 hours is long, please give the nurses a break, as I couldn't of asked for a better service if I had gone private ..

I attended the walk-in Podiatry Clinic a few Tuesdays ago. I would just like to say a very big thank you to Judith, who went above and beyond to help me. A credit to the profession.
