The hostel has a very laid back atmosphere in a good location close to the underground, overground and several bus stops so you can easily reach the very touristy areas of London. The rooms are totally okay but there are triple bunks in some of them which is not advertised on any booking websites and during the winter time it might be freezing. The bathroom is quite newly renovated but it's mixed and doesn't have any heating. Free dinner and breakfast (£5) are a nice little addition but this hostel is not (yet) a 10/10 as rated on many websites (those ratings come from staff asking people to leave 10/10 sometimes in return for a free night, I guess that's because the boss is all about money, so don't expect a marvelous perfect hostel with the best facilities etc.). Most of the staff members are genuinely nice and make you feel very welcome (especially all the native English speaking ones). All in all, I would stay again and recommend the place but don't expect too much.

Absolutely amazing hostel! Super friendly staff!

Good location, close to public transportation, shops, close to busy Camden town when you want to party, but in a nice quiet area so you're not kept awake by traffic!

Free dinners every night, pub downstairs, daily/nightly activities so you can meet heaps of new people!

10/10 would stay here next time I'm in London!

What an awesome stay! Everyone was super helpful and so welcoming! They have a great bar and is located in an awesome area. We loved how the hostel was located a 15 minute walk from crazy Camden but in a quiet neighborhood. They even emailed us a list of cool places to check out. Awesome awesome :)

Had an absolutely wonderful time at this hostel, which was my first experience at a hostel! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and it was so socialble and easy to meet people! They had amazing free activities, free dinners drinking games, and fun evenings out! Would definitely stay here again!!

This was my first hostel experience and it did not disappoint. I felt so welcome and safe. It was my first time solo traveling so I kind of had a mini-panic on my first night and the staff/volunteers were so friendly and helpful (especially Chloe). They also serve free dinners every night. Both nights I stayed the dinners were vegan which was perfect for me. The location was also great, the public transport in London is really efficient.
The first night I slept great but the second night I had to wake up really early to catch my bus and only ended up only sleeping a few hours because the music was pretty loud downstairs and I could still hear it through my ear plugs. Although, I’m quite a light sleeper so it may not affect others as much. Also- this is definitely a social party hostel. They do nightly outings, so not ideal for someone who doesn’t really drink. Other than that, my stay was great! Thanks guys!!!

Very friendly staff, I've never felt more welcomed at a hostel before! A small walk from the station showed the area seemed nice too, an overall great experience. However, there are no curtains on the beds (triple bunk, if you're curious) (in the 12 bed rooms at least) so you feel somewhat exposed to the other sleepers. I didn't stay long enough to experience the itenery but the staff provide excursions and events for the tenants which was lovely to see! Lockers were a decent size also, my friend and I managed to share one no problem! Would definitely stay here again 😇

I've stayed in hostels all over the world, including a really high tech one in Brussels and this one is the best I've experienced.

There are several things that make it great:
- The price is superb considering its central location and the fact the throw in a free dinner (delicious too) is incredible;
- The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, far more than in other places where their freindliness can be a bit forced.
- I love the integration of the old-fashioned British pub into the hostel as it brings together two quite differet worlds -- the old pub culture and the laid-back hostel culture. The pub is a bit noisy so not everyone will like it but it seems quite separate from the rooms.
- The free breakfast is generous and very cheap, just £3. The coffee is particularly good.

The hostel isn't very plush and you could find fault for a slightly shabby interior, but that sort of thing doesn't bother me at all as I know I'm getting such a good deal.

I will make it my base every time I go to London. I used to stay at The Clink hostel near Kings Cross but the staff are almost hostile compared to this place; people in London are generally unfriendly, and particularly in hostels, and that's why I was so surprised by this place.

And thanks top Rodriguez for agreeing to present the hostel on video. He is one of many volunteers who help out in exchange for accommodation.

The staff really makes the hostel; they're all super nice and welcoming, but my fave was Rita from the pub, she's just the sweetest! The hostel itself is very old so it might look dirty, but it was regularly cleaned, the bathroom was always impeccable whenever I used it. The dinners at night were simple but filling, the beds a bit squeaky, but we still slept fine. The Hostel is in a very quiet zone, but close enough to walk to a club or the market if you want. It's not in a very practical location, but since you have the subway 10 min away it's not the worst. It's a little bit too expensive for what it is and what they offer, but I got along so well with the staff and other guests that you kinda let it pass.
All in all, a good stay <3
