Can't rate highly enough.

Clean, well fitted but basic place. Staff are very helpful and accommodating, plus have really good local knowledge. It really is just 20m from the beach as well. The reception sells some great beers that you can enjoy while watching TV or relaxing with others. Tea and coffee are avail too make in the kitchenette all day.

I came visiting for a day mid week and stayed in an 8 man room. Clean beds and room, decent shower, breakfast had lots of options. I'm really impressed with the place and will come here first if I'm visiting this beach again

Went there recently on a geography field trip. Had a wonderful stay, only a short walk from the beach, with a amazing view (in all directions, beach to the front, mountains to the back). All the staff were kind and welcoming, and the food was superb, especially the chicken curry and the breakfast. In summery a wonderful hostel, goof food and kind staff, would defiantly stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay, the owners are wonderful people, very kind and the stay we had was amazing! would definitely recommend to everyone as the owners are wonderful and make you feel right at home with the outstanding food they cooked for breakfast and dinner... even had seconds. Views were amazing as we were roughly 20m from the sea. Great place for a geography school trip if anyone needs somewhere to go!

Been to Borth YHA a couple of times and can't stress enough how lovely and welcoming the owners are. The beach is just across the road and the hostel provides some lovely views of the sea straight from your room. Additionally, the hostel is a short walk from the beautiful Ynyslas Sand Dunes which I also highly recommend visiting. Spacious clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast and dinner really made the stay worth while. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Borth.

I have been bringing groups of GCSE and A Level students to the hostel for a good few years now (before the COVID restrictions prevented us) and having returned for the first time since early 2020 with an A Level group this week I am delighted that John and Jayne are even more welcoming and accommodating than they were before! We are always made to feel welcome, the food is fantastic and the rooms are ideal for large and small groups. Most useful for us have been the onsite classrooms which are well equipped and have really strong Wi-Fi signal which has made using iPads and Chromebooks when writing up their work after the fieldwork data collection much more easier! An absolutely fantastic location/base for fieldwork in Mid and North Wales with some of the best views you could hope for - cannot recommend highly enough!

Took a coach load of students here for an overnight stay. John and Jane are a lovely couple and nothing was too much trouble for them. The tea, coffee and milk supplies are continually stocked up in the self self kitchen.

Breakfast in the morning was amazing, the hash browns were out of this world! Would definitely return here for a leisure trip outside of work.

Always love returning here, hosts are top notch friendly and very accommodating, always super high standard of service with a life affirming positivity and ultra professional re cleaning and fantastic facilities; great location with the beach on your doorstep, sanddunes to one side and cliff walk to the other, mountain range behind.
Gluten free breakfasts are amazing and always new extras for me to try. Thank you to the hosts for being such darlings. Great for families, walkers or solo travellers like me that love water sports.
180 degree views of beach at the front (flanked by headland each side) and 180 degree views of nature reserve and mountain ranges behind.
You feel away from it all; and yet there are great pubs not far away in the village, and theres Aberystwyth if you are looking for town life as well as beach life.
Plenty of nature of all terrain to cater to any and all of your hobbies and even the very rare sunken forest - pictured below all within short walks or 5-10min drives for the further afield places.
